Sharing a short holiday reflection on the quiet power of pausing.
A Holiday Poem: The Power in the Pause
Written by Terrie Reeves
In the quiet between one season and the next,
Before the unwrapping and the resolutions,
Before the cheer and swell of family festivities,
I invite you to pause. 🤍
Not to suspend action, but to make an intentional decision to stop, breathe, and notice that you are alive. 🌬️
The holidays often arrive wrapped in commercialism and expectations,
Yet many of us carry unfinished business, unrealized dreams, emotional weight, and unmet desires that rest heavier than they appear.
This is your permission slip. ✨
To pause and breathe with no pressure or agenda.
To reflect on what was meaningful,
And exhale what no longer belongs in the next chapter.
Pause to honor what you survived.
Pause to acknowledge what grew quietly inside you. 🌱
Pause to grieve what did not unfold as planned,
And to bless what did.
In stillness, clarity does not shout.
It whispers. 🤍
And when you listen, remember:
You are not behind.
You are exactly where you are supposed to be.
The most powerful gift you can give yourself this season
Is not something to open, fix, or improve.
It is space.
To feel.
To heal.
To begin again. ✨
As we step toward 2026, may you choose intention over urgency.
Grace over pace.
Presence over pressure.
And Pause because you understand its quiet power.
