You don’t need a life-changing moment. You need small decisions that you keep making, even when no one sees them.

The way you show up on ordinary days is what quietly shapes your future.

Last Friday, HopeWay hosted the 2nd Annual Men’s Mental Health Matters Breakfast at , bringing together a sold-out crowd of men from across the community for a meaningful morning of connection and conversation around men’s mental health.

We’re grateful to everyone who attended and helped make the event such a success. The panel discussion, moderated by Justin Johnson, MD, with panelists Reginald Johnson, MD, Patrick Balsley, and Sheldon Maye, offered valuable insights on the unique pressures men face and ways to better support mental wellness.

A special thank you to Ace the Stigma for helping make this important conversation possible, and to for the incredible meal.

Healing is quiet work. It’s choosing differently when no one is watching.

It’s breaking cycles privately. It’s powerful, even if it’s unseen.

Grateful for partners who don’t just support our work, they truly understand it. We were so glad to welcome Julie and Craig Young from the Young 9 Foundation as they stopped by to deliver proceeds from their first annual Sneaker Gala and spend time with our team. It was fun to share more about our newest initiatives this year and get excited about what’s ahead together. Mental health work is complex and deeply human, and we’re thankful for partners who show up with genuine enthusiasm and belief in what we do.
Thank you to Bryce Young, Craig, Julie and the Young 9 Foundation team for being such incredible advocates for mental health in our community!

Swipe for a few favorite moments from the Sneaker Gala 👟back in November. Such a fun, impactful night celebrating mental wellness!

Brighter days aren't just coming—they’re officially here. 🌸 We’ve stepped into a new season of light, and we hope you feel the warmth of that shift today. Remember: even a small change in perspective (or an extra hour of sun) can make a world of difference.

While we "Welcome the Light," the transition can sometimes leave our bodies feeling a bit out of sync.

Here are a few ways to help your mind and body adjust this week:

• Soak up the Morning Sun: Try to get 10–15 minutes of natural light as soon as you wake up. It helps reset your internal clock and boosts your mood. ☀️

• Prioritize a Consistent Routine: Try to stick to your usual meal and exercise times to give your body a sense of stability.

• Practice Gentle Wind-Downs: With the sun staying out later, be mindful of your evening routine. Dim the lights an hour before bed to help your brain prepare for rest. 🌙

• Be Patient with Yourself: It’s okay to feel a little "off" for a few days. Give yourself grace as you adjust to this new rhythm.

Welcome the light with us.

As we close Eating Disorders Awareness Month, we want to continue this important conversation.

Societal pressures around appearance, achievement, and comparison can weigh heavily on teens and young adults. In this blog, one of our therapists explores how these pressures contribute to eating disorders and what meaningful support can look like.
