Easter weekend in Sarasota! 💚🩵🩷💛 We filled our days with sunshine and family time — plus visits to Casperson Beach (where we found lots of shark teeth!), (best soft pretzel of my lifeee), Crescent Beach (where the boys swam in the ocean and found some crazy-cool conch shells), the new aquarium (beautiful and a huge hit with our whole family), Urfer Park for an early-morning bunny + tortoise walk and Payne Park to play on the circus-themed playground ☀️🫶🏻 Not a bad way to kick off spring break!!

Not sure who I think I am cramming a wedding in Northern Michigan and less than 15 hrs in Vegas for the final Backstreet Boys concert in the Sphere into one weekend but I channeled my inner 22yo and had a freaking blast! Celebrating love (so happy for Ashley + Sean!), seeing some of my best friends of 20+ years, dancing my face off, laughing until my stomach hurt and living out my millennial dreams in Vegas = One heck of a weekend 🤗 Now flying home to hug the boys and face plant in bed the second they’re all tucked in for the night

When the bucket list trip exceeds all of your expectations 🩵💚

When your first 48 hours make up for 48 hours of horrendous travel, you know you’re somewhere magical. Alaska has been a bucket list trip for us for years. Couple my intense desire to see whales in the wild for the first time and our entire family’s love of the outdoors with our boys’ intense love of animals and fishing and there was only one destination we had in mind for our 15 year wedding anniversary, my 40th bday and our oldest’s 10th bday. ALASKA!!! We may have lost a couple of days on this trip but truly the last 48 hours alone have already made this adventure more than worth it! We’ve seen a pod of humpback whales feeding (unreal!), a orca, sei whales, moose, puffins, bald eagles, sea otters, seals and sea lions and caught so much salmon, cod and rockfish. 10/10 and we are only 2 days in!

Favorite role I’ve ever had and will ever have in my life is being their mama. And I’ve been given the most incredible gift of learning from the very, very best in my own mother. They’re a huge part of the reason my first and last prayers of every single day are prayers of immense gratitude. Happy Mother’s Day!! ❤️ And to those feeling a different kind of heart squeeze today for any number of reasons, please know so many of us out there are thinking of you and hoping you feel a little extra love coming your way today.
