POWER: DON’T TRY “EVERYTHING”
If you tried “everything” then you’ve been consistent with nothing
I get it, it can be difficult to attempt to figure out how to improve your health, wellness, fitness & recovery profiles
Being pulled in all or every direction But, you need to have the right arrow to point yourself in one, single direction in order to experience the effects
Effects may be positive or negative
Either way, you will truly find if something works or not — but only if you’ve been consistent with the thing

There’s too much inconsistency with everything
And…doing everything won’t work But,
There is something with consistency if you stick to one thing
One thing so specific that the results will show over time
Take your time to find one direction to be guided towards

Skipping that 10-minute walk after lunch time because there’s no time
Avoiding getting outside because it’s too cold out
Binging on unhealthy foods choices because cooking is a time-suck
Too often, we put our health at risk
A risk we take so often that we don’t feel the immediate effects
The negative effects are so tiny that the arrow begins to point towards the sickness continuum

QUITTING SOLVES NOTHING
About 4 months ago I sustained a R-sided high hamstring / glute strain when performing a heavy deficit sumo deadlift (DL)
I knew during the moment that the “ripping” sensation wasn’t a good sign
However,
After taking a 2-3’ rest, I wanted to attempt another sumo DL rep at a lighter weight to make sure it wasn’t a fluke
Well, my body said NOPE…you’re done with this movement today

❌ QUITTING SOLVES NOTHING ❌
You know what I did the next day?
I immediately began rehabbing my hamstrings & glutes all while continuing to train at the gym
Quitting the movement pattern would not have helped me get over the hump
But finding ways to modify & scale back did
Luckily, I’ve been able to slowly build heavier squatting all while incorporating some therapeutic exercises consistently into my routine to help build my R leg back up
It’s true, experiencing an injury sucks
But, I’m here to cheer you on that you don’t have to quit because it doesn’t solve the issue
Take control of your situation & put in the work to get yourself back!

INTEL: THE CHOICE IS YOURS
You can choose general
Or…
You can choose specific
There is a time & place for both choices in anything we expose ourselves to
For example, shopping within the center isles of the grocery store for boxed, factory-made foods = GENERAL
Versus
Shopping the perimeter of the grocery store for thereal fruits, vegetables & meats = SPECIFIC

I don’t know about you but when it comes to my health, wellness, fitness & recovery profiles, I’m choosing specific over general
Sure, you can go to the general physiotherapist (PT) your physician referred you to
Sure, you can look up “general PTs in your area” on Google search & choose based off their star ratings
But, the way you choose who is in your healthcare team circle will yield your desired results — General vs Specific
For my patients (& even myself), I choose to serve as SPECIFIC
So I can give them the input they need based by the choice they made to be a part of their healthcare team
