💧 Play with a purpose this spring!

Water play isn’t just fun — it’s a powerful way to support your child’s language, sensory exploration, and early speech skills.

Simple activities like pouring, splashing, scooping, and filling create natural opportunities to model words and build communication.

Try narrating what your child is doing:
🫗 “Pour!”
💦 “Splash!”
🪣 “Full!”

The best part?
Your child doesn’t have to repeat you — just hearing words during play helps build vocabulary and early language.

✨ Parent Tip: Follow your child’s lead and talk about what they are doing. That’s where the learning happens!

👇 Tell us in the comments:
Where does your child love water play the most?
• Sink
• Bathtub
• Water table
• Outside with a bucket

🌸 Spring Speech Fun at Home! 🌸

Looking for a simple way to practice speech sounds while playing together? Try our “Make & Say Flowers” activity!

As your child builds colorful tissue paper flowers, they practice saying a target word or sound each time they add a petal. It’s a playful way to encourage repetition, creativity, and confidence in speech — without it feeling like “work.”

✨ Perfect for:
• articulation practice
• expanding vocabulary
• turn-taking and conversation
• family craft time

💡 Parent tip: Let your child choose the color of each petal after they say their target sound or word. More petals = more practice!

📌 Save this post to try later and share with another parent who might love a fun speech activity!

Growth doesn’t stop at graduation. 💛

We are celebrating two of our SLPs who recently earned the ASHA Award for Continuing Education (ACE) — a recognition given to professionals who go above and beyond in their commitment to lifelong learning.

By earning 70 hours of CEUs within a 36-month period, they’ve invested significant time into expanding their knowledge and refining their clinical skills.

And here’s what that really means:
Your children are being served by clinicians who are constantly learning, growing, and staying current in best practice.

Help us congratulate:
✨ Rebecca Rowe
✨ Dani Shanley

We are so grateful for your dedication to excellence.

❄️ Play With a Purpose – Winter Edition! ❄️

Snuggle up with Bear Snores On and turn storytime into meaningful speech + language practice. 🐻✨

This cozy, predictable story is perfect for:
• WH-questions (Who came? What is Bear doing? Why did he wake up?)
• Sequencing (first → next → last)
• Talking about feelings (sleepy, surprised, excited)
• Acting out character actions + making animal sounds

Reading doesn’t have to feel like “work” to build skills — it can feel like connection. 💙

Save this post to try during your next cozy read, and comment “WINTER” if you’d like more at-home activity ideas like this!

💬 Looking for a simple way to support more natural, low‑pressure communication at home?

Try swapping rapid‑fire questions for declarative language!

These small shifts can build connection, reduce performance pressure, and encourage spontaneous communication.
