Huge shoutout to our incredible mariachi band for filling the Day of the Dead event with so much life, culture, and energy! 🎺🎻✨
Their music brought the heart of the tradition to Charlotte and made our first-ever funeral home and cemetery celebration truly unforgettable. ❤️

We can’t even put into words how much joy and gratitude we feel after our Day of the Dead event here in Charlotte. This year was incredibly special because we were blessed to collaborate with one of our local cemeteries a place where we have walked alongside families, honored loved ones, and helped lay many members of our community to rest with dignity and love.

What makes this moment even more meaningful is that we are the first funeral home in Charlotte to host a Day of the Dead event. Bringing this tradition to life in our city, in a space filled with history and remembrance, is something we are both truly proud of.

Seeing families come together to honor their loved one’s, ancestors and witnessing the beauty of our culture embraced by our community filled our hearts with so much happiness. Thank you to everyone who came out, supported, contributed, and stood with us in remembrance. Your presence made this celebration everything it was meant to be.

And we’re just getting started. We invite you all to join us again next year as we continue to honor those who came before us and celebrate the tradition that keeps their memory alive. We cannot wait to celebrate with you again bigger, brighter, and with even more love.

To our veterans and their families, THANk YOU. Thank you for your service. Thank you for your sacrifices that you and your families have made. For every soldier who serves, they're a family and friends at home who lose a piece of themselves until you come back into their life. Saying thank you is not enough. I never had the honor of serving in the military and I have no idea what you went through, all I could say is thank you. And for your comrades that didn't make it home. All I could say is godspeed and my prayers are with you.

The first ever dia de los muertes, Day of the Dead festival. This was held in cooperation with Sunset Memory garden cemetery on Lawyers Road and Carolina funeral service and cremation on Monroe Road. I would like to thank my student funeral director Leslie Pina, for all her hard work and dedication to this project, the staff at Sunset Memory garden especially Angela and Alex, Don McAllister of casket sales for his time and efforts and to Matt McAllister for manufacturing our 3D skulls and keychains which were free giveaways to all that attended. I would like to thank the food vendors for their time and for the families that came out to honor their past loved ones. Hopefully this is the first of many to come. Again, thank you to all
