Did you start 2024 with a list of health, fitness or weight loss goals?

Research suggests up to 48% of people make health/fitness/weight loss goals as part of their New Year's resolutions.

More shocking than that, is that it’s estimated that only 9% of Americans who make resolutions complete them.

In fact, research goes on to show that 38% of people quit their resolution by the end of the first week, and 43% quit by the end of January. Maybe you can relate?


So, how exactly do you set goals that can actually be maintained? We’re showing you a few easy ways so read on!

Since we know that a staggering number of people fail to follow through on their New Year's resolutions and you don’t want to be another statistic, here to share some insights into why this happens and provide you with four valuable tips on how to stick with your health goals this year.

Unrealistic Expectations and trying to change WAY too much at once: One common reason for resolution failure is setting unrealistic expectations. We often aim too high or expect instant results, which can lead to frustration and giving up altogether. Instead, focus on setting ONE achievable goal each month and let them build on each other.

Lack of Planning: Failing to plan is planning to fail! Without a clear roadmap, it's easy to lose sight of your goals. Take the time to create a detailed plan outlining specific actions you'll take each day or week toward achieving your health objectives. Break them down into manageable steps so you can track your progress along the way.

Absence of Accountability: Holding yourself accountable can be challenging without external support systems in place.
