Monday Motivation ✨

“Even on hard days, hope can sit quietly beside you.”

If you’re going through cancer treatments, know that you don’t have to feel strong every moment. Showing up, resting when you need to, and taking things one day at a time is enough. Hope doesn’t have to be loud—it’s there with you, even on the hardest days. 💛

Monday Motivation ✨

If you’re walking through a cancer journey, let this be your reminder: showing up each day is a victory. Even on the hard days. Even when it feels heavy. Your strength isn’t measured by how you feel—it’s in the fact that you’re still here, still fighting, still moving forward. 💙

✨Wellness Wednesday: 🌡️Hot flashes after cancer treatment can feel overwhelming — and you’re not alone.🌡️

For many people who experience medically induced menopause due to cancer treatment, hot flashes and night sweats can be sudden, intense, and disruptive. Sleep, focus, mood, and quality of life can all take a hit — especially when traditional hormone replacement therapy isn’t recommended or feels uncertain.

The good news? There are new, non-hormonal options being explored that may help manage these symptoms by targeting how the brain regulates body temperature — without adding hormones.

If lifestyle changes like cooling strategies, limiting caffeine or alcohol, and stress management aren’t enough, it may be worth talking with your care team about non-hormonal treatments that could offer relief.

You deserve comfort, rest, and support as you navigate life after cancer — and you don’t have to just “push through” these symptoms.

💬 Talk with your oncology or women’s health provider to explore what options may be right for you.

New nonhormonal medicine Lynkuet helps ease menopause hot flashes and night sweats, with mild side effects and quick relief.

💛 To anyone walking through a cancer journey right now… this is for you.

“You know yourself. You know you got this.”

Hold those words close. You’ve faced hard days before and found strength you didn’t know you had. You continue to rise with courage, grace, and grit — even when it feels impossible.

Keep listening to your inner voice. Keep trusting your resilience.
You are stronger than this moment, and you’re not walking it alone. 💛✨

Helping you and your family cope with cancer

When you come to our Novant Health Buddy Kemp Cancer Support Center, you’re entering a space designed to help you and your family in the time following a diagnosis. The center is in a comfortable, home-like setting close to the Novant Health Presbyterian Medical Center campus, near uptown Charlotte. At the center you'll find special programs and support, as well as services that aim to help you look and feel your best. For example, the Lending Boutique is filled with wigs for women who are beginning treatment. Services are provided by a team of counselors and case managers who are specially trained to treat cancer; they provide individual and family counseling, support groups and special events, educational programs, financial resource guidance, a resource library, and a lending boutique with beautiful wigs for cancer patients who have lost their hair due to chemo treatments.
