This week, we took a trip back in time to celebrate the groovy vibes of the '60s and '70s! ✌️🕺✨

Our fantastic maintenance technician, Allen, who also happens to be a DJ, kept the music spinning with all the classics from the era, and the dance floor stayed full! 🎶💃 Members were singing along, dancing, and soaking up every moment.
The room was packed shoulder to shoulder with smiles, laughter, and plenty of energy — a true testament to how much everyone loves Allen (and it's safe to say the feeling is mutual)! 💛

Now that's what we call a throwback party! 🎉

Every time our therapy dog Olive comes to visit, the crowd gets bigger and it's easy to see why. With her sweet eyes, soft coat, and lovable personality, she wins over everyone she meets in no time. Our Welcome Committee this wonderful group of people meets monthly to plan and host happy hours and other events for new Members. 🥂✨ They take time to discuss new move-ins and find thoughtful ways to help everyone feel at home right away.From organizing dinner groups in our dining room 🍽️ to sharing a list of clubs to join 🎨📚 and making sure new Members know exactly where to find an afternoon sweet treat in the Bistro 🍰☕, they truly go above and beyond.

The Employees wear Hawaiian shirts because they are considered "traders on the culinary seas" searching for unique items. 🗺️🏴‍☠️ Every Monday morning Trader Joe's donates flowers for us to use for our flower arranging classes! Our Executive Director, Meaghan, found Mariah Lee singing for Members at a neighboring rehabilitation community. ✨ She was interning while finishing her credentials in speech pathology and took a break from her work to sing for the Members. 🎤 She is graduating in May and sings in coffeehouses and wineries on the weekends for some extra income. She has a stunning voice and is so sweet to our Members – they love her. One Member, Joan, peppered her with requests to Mariah's delight, and she obliged, singing as many as she knew. 🎸🎶

Today we got our hands a little dirty… in the best way! 🌱✨ Our Members spent the afternoon planting zinnia, nasturtium, and mint seeds using cardboard egg cartons as starter planters. It was the perfect mix of gardening, creativity, and a little springtime magic. 🌸Now, we'll let them rest and grow in a sunny window in our activity room over the next couple of weeks, soaking up all that natural light as they begin to sprout. And the best part? Once they're ready, they'll be transferred into the beautiful pots our Members painted yesterday, making this a full-circle project! 🎨🌿
