Painting + sensory play = powerful learning in OT 🎨✨
Today’s session was all about getting messy, exploring textures, and building skills through play! From finger painting to experimenting with different tools and surfaces, these activities support so much more than creativity.

💡 Sensory play helps with:
• Tactile processing
• Fine motor development
• Hand-eye coordination
• Emotional regulation
• Confidence and self-expression

In OT, play is purposeful. Every splash, smear, and swirl is helping little hands and brains grow stronger 💪
And yes… it gets messy—but that’s where the magic happens 💙.l

Helping little voices grow! 🗣️✨

Today in speech therapy we worked on answering “where” questions using prepositions (like in, on, under, and next to). Our patient has a mixed receptive-expressive language disorder, which means understanding language and expressing ideas can both be challenging.

Using play-based activities, we practiced looking at pictures and answering questions like:
“Where is the cat?” → “The cat is under the table.” 🐱

These small steps help children build stronger language skills for everyday conversations, classroom learning, and social interactions.

Speech therapy turns practice into play, and every correct response is a big win! 🎉

Blends are no joke 😅

When a child says “nake” instead of “snake,” that’s called cluster reduction — and it’s a totally common speech pattern we work on in therapy.

Today we practiced stretching out our sounds and keeping our “s” strong in front of those blends 🐍✨
Progress isn’t always loud — sometimes it’s just one tiny sound added back in. And that’s a BIG win.

Balance, focus, and a whole lot of fun 💪✨
Today’s PT session featured one of our rockstars putting in the work on the Universal Exercise Unit (UEU) cage — and crushing it! 🙌
Using the cage for support and resistance, he worked through:⚖️ Dynamic balance challenges🎯 Target-based reaching games🏀 Core-strengthening activities🦶 Single-leg stability tasks🎲 Movement-based games to build coordination
The UEU allows us to safely challenge balance, build core strength, and improve body awareness — all while keeping therapy engaging and playful. And when therapy feels like a game, progress happens naturally 💙
So proud of the strength, determination, and focus shown today! Keep shining ⭐
