Dr. Jess’s Nourishing Homemade Broth Recipe
Here’s exactly how I made the broth in the photo:
Ingredients:
• 1 roasted chicken, 90% of the meat removed
• 1–2 tsp peppercorns
• 3 carrots
• 3 stalks celery
• 1 frozen beef liver
• 2 frozen beef soup bones
• 1 tbsp apple cider vinegar (helps pull nutrients from the bones!)
• Water to fill the pot
Instructions:
1. Combine all ingredients into a large pot or slow cooker.
2. Bring to a boil, then reduce to a gentle simmer.
3. Simmer low and slow for 24 hours to get a rich, nourishing broth.
4. Strain and store in jars. Sip warm or use as the base for soups + meals.
