On October 31st the veil is thin. Where will you travel to? Whoโs hand do you long to hold? Which guide do you long to talk with?
Samhain is a time to honor death - the stuff that scares you but also the beauty of it all.
Death touches us in different ways. Death can come to take us or our loved ones, but it also comes when we have outgrown a job, a relationship, a friendship, a home, or a belief. Death comes to free us, even when we donโt want to be freed.
So while in the western world, we celebrate with costumes and candy, which is definitely fun! See if you can also make time to honor the cycles of death in your own life and know that eventually, a rebirth will come.
If you have a loved one that youโre thinking of, light a candle, speak their name, have their favorite meal for dinner.
