We love visitors!

One of Momma Bey's professors and mentors took the time to visit our agency to see the work we’re doing on the ground in mental health.

She took time to meet family staff and check out the Healing House.

Grateful for the opportunity to bridge practice with research. Momma Bey will be working with her on an upcoming research project in Charlotte.

Stay Tuned!

Want to visit the Healing House?

Stop by M-F 10am-4pm.

See you there!

During Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, Respect Week reminds us that teens learn what healthy relationships look like from the adults and communities around them. This week, commit to creating safer spaces for teens, at home, in schools, and online. Every conversation, every example, every moment of care helps shape a culture where respect is the standard, not the exception.

It’s Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month, and it’s important to name unhealthy behaviors early: constant texting, jealousy disguised as love, pressure to share passwords, or feeling afraid to speak up.

Dating should feel safe and respectful. If it doesn’t, support is available and you’re not alone.

Menopause isn’t just hot flashes, and Black women deserve better information, better care, and real support.

Our President & CEO, Joy D. Calloway, spoke with Essence Magazine about the realities Black women face navigating perimenopause and menopause from fear and cultural silence to intimacy, mental health, and workplace challenges.

Joy shared her own vulnerability, reminding us how often Black women put their health last, not because we don’t care, but because we’re carrying everything else. She also named something many of us feel but don’t always recognize: we’ve normalized feeling “off” for so long that we don’t always realize when something is wrong.

Through it all, she returned to Power in the Pause, a space for education, community, and reclaiming menopause as a reset, not a decline.

This conversation matters. And we’re just getting started.
