Dad loved fast cars.

At Pray Funeral Home, every life story deserves to be celebrated in a way that’s as unique as the person it honors. When families tell us what made their loved one special, we find meaningful ways to bring those passions to life, even if that means adding a little extra horsepower.

Raise your hand if you’ve ever written a eulogy, or tag someone who’s written one that truly touched your heart. ✋

Writing a eulogy can be one of the hardest yet most meaningful things we do. It’s a chance to reflect, share stories, and honor a life well lived.

Throwback Thursday.

Way back in the 1960s, before 911 existed, we distributed these glow in the dark telephone stickers so families could easily find emergency numbers when they needed them most.

Last month, someone brought one into the funeral home after discovering it in an old drawer at their parents’ house. Out of curiosity, we decided to test it.

And yes… it still glows in the dark.

A small piece of history, a lot of memories, and a reminder of how long we have been caring for this community. 💙

In the next part of our Charlie Brown Christmas series with Joe Pray, we’re focusing on something many people feel during the first holiday after a loss… and often struggle to say out loud.

It’s okay not to feel festive this year.
It’s okay if the decorations, music, or gatherings don’t feel the same.
You don’t have to pretend, and you don’t have to match anyone else’s expectations.

Joe reminds us that everyone moves through grief differently, and you are allowed to feel what you feel, even if it isn’t joyful or bright. Giving yourself permission to step back, slow down, or simply get through the day is perfectly okay.

If you have any questions or need support, call us anytime.
