What are my options for creating a meaningful, unique service?
Can I have a funeral if I’m choosing cremation?
Can we hold the funeral service somewhere other than the funeral home?
What if my family wants to make a change?
What if I change my mind after I sign the contract?
What if there’s not enough money to pay for the funeral when I die?
What if we move away and need to use a different funeral home?

Copy and paste, then print these questions and bring them in for your pre-planning appointment!

Today we had the honor of helping the Nye family celebrate the life of a good friend, car enthusiast, and talented mechanic, Butch Nye.

We conducted the service at the local Eagles, where many of Butch’s friends showed up with their classic cars and hot rods to honor and remember him… a perfect tribute to someone who loved them so much.

His family was involved in so many meaningful ways. One of his sons built his urn, another spoke during the service along with a grandson, and the family worked together to bring Butch’s cars out of winter hibernation for the day. One of his granddaughters even found a baker to create cookies in the likeness of his classic rides.

After the procession, family and friends gathered at his home for a BBQ, where Butch’s urn was placed at the “VIP” table alongside his favorite refreshment.

Butch was known as a local mechanic who was just as happy being paid with a burger and a beer as anything else… and that says everything about the kind of man he was.

It was truly a one of a kind tribute to a life well lived.

There isn’t just one moment to say goodbye.

Sometimes it’s sitting beside them, holding their hand. Sometimes it’s a quiet moment at home. And sometimes, it’s seeing them one last time after they’ve been placed in our care.

Each goodbye matters, and each one can help bring a sense of peace in a very difficult time.

We are professionals.
But first, we are people who have known loss.

That’s why we hold ourselves to one simple standard:
Would this be good enough for our own family?

If the answer isn’t yes, it’s not enough.
