Help us wish Denise a very Happy Birthday!
Our team couldn’t let the day pass without celebrating her, so of course there had to be a little singing involved.

Drop a 🎂 or leave Denise a nice message in the comments to help us celebrate her today!

What does my Papa do? ❤️

There’s something special about hearing the answer through a child’s eyes.

Take a moment to listen as Joe E. Pray’s grandson shares what he thinks his Papa does and why it matters. Sometimes the simplest words say it best.

No two days in funeral service are ever the same.

In this day in the life, we share a memorable moment that shows just how personal a service can be. Years ago, Mr. Bryner told Joe E. Pray that when his time came, he wanted a porta-potty at his service. When the Bryner family came to us, they made sure that promise was honored.

Sometimes, the most meaningful tributes are those that truly capture who someone was and the life they lived.

Last week at Pray Funeral Home, we may have had a first.

While helping a family whose father owned a septic company, they had one special request for his service, to display a porta potty in the chapel as a tribute to the work he was so proud of. Do not worry, it was thoroughly cleaned before it arrived.

He was also known for always wearing his bib overalls, so Tyler and our team made sure to dress the part in his honor.

Every life is unique, and sometimes the most meaningful tributes are the ones that truly reflect who someone was.

And for anyone who saw us hauling a porta potty in and out of the funeral home, do not worry, our restrooms were working just fine. 😉

So much of a woman’s work is invisible.

The emotional glue. The quiet sacrifices. The strength no one thought to thank her for.

Today, we pause to recognize women whose impact was felt deeply, even if it was often overlooked or underappreciated.
