It’s never too early to start celebrating ! Last Friday, teammates at Atrium Health Cabarrus heard the story of Turkessa, a LifeShare teammate and mother to Christian, an organ donor 💚💙

We look forward to seeing the LifeShare and Donate Life flag fly over Atrium Health Cabarrus all April!

Juanita loved everyone, but especially children. Her great-niece, Marisol, told us how Juanita was always ready to lend a helping hand, whether that be in the kitchen or caring for newborns.

In her spare time, Juanita liked to look through her photo albums, listen to music, and sit outside enjoying nice weather.

Juanita saved 1 life through the donation of her liver. If you want us to highlight your donor hero, you can nominate them at LifeShareCarolinas.org/Tributes.

Let this serve as proof you can't work in social media if you have a fear of rejection!

Shout-out to the teammates who help us with our social content even when they're scared! And to those who don't? We'll convince you eventually 🙂‍↕️

Leeann knew how to have fun anywhere she went. Her daughter told us she knew how to live life to the fullest. The people around Leeann knew her to be funny and silly but also immensely loving and generous.

It was common for anyone who met her to call her “Mama” or “Mamaw.” Her daughter told us she was a wonderful grandmother and loved her animals.

In her spare time, Leeann liked to keep her hands busy, listen to music, and shop at “junk stores” as she would call them.

Leeann saved 3 lives through organ donation. She will also go on to impact several lives through tissue donation.

Ben was a marine and a veteran. His wife, Amy, said he was the life of the party. He made great drinks at parties and was an excellent DJ. He was an involved father, helping with band events and every school party.

Amy told us everyone called Ben first when they had news, needed help, or wanted to vent. Those around him knew he would help without expecting anything in return.

Amy says his family misses him terribly, “He was our family rock, our glue, the one we thought who would always be here.”

In his spare time, Ben loved planning family vacations, collecting Legos, serving as a handyman, and being with his wife and daughters.

Ben saved 4 lives through organ donation. He gave 2 people the gift of sight through eye donation and will improve the lives of 199 people through tissue donation.

Our fully remote operations team recently visited our headquarters. We're happy they came by, but they were a little... quirky. We'll just call it (office) culture shock 🤷
