We treated Hope while she was in foster care. This sweet girl was shot as a puppy and had spinal damage, which caused her to be incontinent.

Meet Hope! Hope is a foster pup available for adoption through Worthy Dog Rescue. We have been treating her for urinary and f***l incontinence due to a bullet in her spine damaging the nerves controlling her ability to urinate and defecate. With time, patience, and a specialized treatment plan she is starting to show signs of improvement.

Acupuncture and holistic supplements have helped Hope in ways conventional medicine alone could not.

Rock settled in nicely at his last treatment ❤️ We use desensitization techniques with patients that anticipate Pain or discomfort, and once they figure out we aren’t hurting them they relax and enjoy it.

Making a difference in our patients lives is why we do what we do. Eric and Anita contacted us for their older pup Ella several months ago, and she has made amazing progress. We are so appreciative of our wonderful clients- they were kind enough to write an amazing review for us ❤️

“Our family is so grateful for the outstanding care, love and compassion of Dr. Shirley and Amber. 6 months ago, Ella’s weakness and pain in her rear legs was so bad that she could barely get up and down from our couch and she could no longer “sit” when we asked her too. She was in obvious pain and we didn’t know how to help. Along came Dr. Shirley who felt that acupuncture could relieve her discomfort and strengthen her legs so the trembling would be greatly diminished. In 2 months we have seen amazing results. Ella is running and playing with our other dogs, jumping on and off of our couch, and “sitting” when requested. Her tremors have greatly diminished and she is obviously in less pain and living a much more enjoyable day to day life.

Yesterday we had a rather exciting experience. We met this handsome alpaca Solar Flare!
Flare has been having some forelimb lameness for a while now and his vet has ruled out many things, but he wasn’t getting better. This was a new experience for everyone involved and we are so happy that we get to help this sweet boy!

On Thursday we had another session with sweet Samantha from Worthy Dog Rescue. She fell sound asleep! Many people wonder if the needles are painful, and I think this nicely illustrates what we discuss on our FAQ page- most animals quickly figure out the needles feel good and bring relief!
