Tuesday November 18th
Not only do we have a Scorpio Moon with us all day today, but Mercury is also changing signs. It was in Sagittarius but today is moving backwards into Scorpio as well. So lot of Scorpio energy floating around. On Thursday we have a New Moon in Scorpio. We get a New Moon when the Sun and Moon are sitting next to each other in the same sign. We start to feel the effects of this today. Scorpio is deep, dark and mysterious. This is a private sign, not given to wearing their heart on their sleeve. They somehow know all your secrets because they draw you in with their hypnotic gaze and you just spill everything. But it is okay, because Scorpio will keep your secrets as well. They are loyal to a fault. When we get this much Scorpio energy happening, we have an opportunity to shift things in a dramatic way. This is the sign of transformation after all. We turn within and think deep thoughts. A time of looking at our deepest wounds so we can bring them up to the light and be healed. The Moon is sitting next to Venus today, so more Scorpio energy. Monday November 17th
Our Libra Moon is with us most of the day but changes signs just before 5:00pm and moves into Scorpio. So we still have a full day of love and light, peace and harmony. This Moon is going to be in conflict with Jupiter in Cancer. Jupiter always wants things bigger and better. So we can have some big ideas today that may not be the most practical. It is a great energy to brainstorm but not the best to follow-through. You might want to think about them for a time and see what works and what doesn’t. But these two together tends to promote a sense of well-being. We feel positive and decide that things will work out after all. This is a generous combination and we can spend more than we budgeted for so be careful of the pocketbook.

As we move into the evening we become a bit more quiet and contemplative. Scorpio is a water sign and all the water signs (Cancer, Scorpio & Pisces) get a nice plus from this Moon. Scorpio is private and reserved so we do not want to talk about our problems or our innermost thoughts. We want to keep those to ourself. So if your teenager doesn’t want to talk, Scorpio is probably to blame. But this is a deep and powerful Moon. It is going to struggle with Pluto and Pluto is all about power and transformation. Shortly before dawn our Moon decided it was time to make its move and has left the sign of Virgo and moved into the sign of Libra. Virgo is an earth sign but Libra is of the air element. So we start to experience a whole new vibe. All the air signs (Gemini, Libra & Aquarius) will enjoy this. Aries might not be as happy since it is the sign opposite Libra. When the Moon is in the sign opposite our Sun, we get a feeling like swimming upstream. Not horrible stuff, but annoying stuff. We have to work harder or run into more roadblocks. So we start to get more annoyed and impatient.

Libra energy is one of connection. This sign loves to be around other people. So today is a good day for all kinds of social activities. Call up some friends and make plans for the day. Or you and your partner can decide to do something fun just for the two of you. Get out of the house and enjoy nature or being with a group. Libra is very good with helping to bring people together. We have a full day of Virgo Moon energies. The sign of Virgo is one that is often associated with the body. Because of this we often see Virgo’s associated in some way with healing the body and/or taking care of it. Virgo’s make good yoga or Pilates instructors. They are excellent as physical therapists or working as a trainer at a gym. There is an understanding of the body and how to work with it that is lovely gift of this sign. So today is a good day to do something nice for your body. Maybe get a massage or go for a long walk. We are more conscious of what we eat and drink. Most of our day is filled with a Leo Moon. Around 7:00pm it leaves Leo and moves into the sign of Virgo. The Lion is a sign that is full of creative energy. If you do anything in the arts, then this energy is for you. Even if you have zero talent in art, music or dance you may still be drawn to museums and movie and artistic expression even if it is not yours. You can always sing and dance around the house. As Virgo starts to take over around dinnertime the tone shifts. Virgo is an earth sign so we leave behind fire tones and enter the much more grounded energy of earth. Tuesday November 11th
Today is the day that Jupiter turns retrograde. This means it is now moving in backward motion instead of forward motion. Since Jupiter happens to be in the sign of Cancer, wherever Cancer is located in your chart, you may see some things get delayed or move forward much more slowly than you would like. Jupiter will stay retrograde until March, so this is going to be the situation for the next several months. On the plus side, Cancer rules food and with the planet of expansion slowing down, it can be a good time to lose weight.

For today we have a Leo Moon all day. Leo is the sign that rules our ego and when the Moon is here, we want to be noticed. We want to see our efforts acknowledged and our hard work appreciated. For children they may be a bit more “look at me” than usual. Be sure to applaud and make a fuss over them. As a matter of fact, it is a good idea to make a fuss over everyone. We have a bit of a split day today. The morning starts out with the Moon still in Cancer. But then around lunchtime (12:30pm) the Moon leaves Cancer and moves into the sign of Leo. So our morning is still full of home, family, food and feelings. But as we move deeper into the day we let go of emotional tones and start to explore the fire energies of The Lion. All the fire signs (Aries, Leo & Sagittarius) are going to enjoy this. Aquarius not so much as it is opposite Leo. This is the sign that loves people and loves having a good time. Not too shabby. Leo is very social, so a good day to get together with friends and plan something nice. Leo is also very romantic, so you want to be with your special someone. I actually love the drama of Leo. They can be very theatrical and love the Grand Gesture. Children come home from school with all kinds of stories about what happened in the lunchroom. Well today is the day. Mercury turns retrograde today and in different ways we will all start to notice it. I have already had clients mentioning they are feeling it. Mercury will turn direct on the 20th of November, so be ready for the next several weeks.

For today the Moon stays in Cancer all day today. The sign of The Crab not only rules home and family but food as well. Cancers are big foodies. Doesn’t matter if you actually cook or not. You my watch all the cooking shows or peruse different cookbooks. Some Cancers love going out to eat or even run a restaurant. The point is that when the Moon is in Cancer we tend to eat more and sometimes go off our diet. So today is a good day to invite the family over for a traditional Sunday dinner. Maybe you want to bake something special. A friend may call and suggest the two of you meet for lunch or dinner. If we are spending money today it is probably going to on food and family. Since home is a big topic for this sign, you might want to just curl up and stay home today. We all need some time to nest and recharge our batteries. So enjoy this very Cancer Sunday. Today around 10:00am we will see the Moon shifts signs once again and move out of the sign of Gemini and into the sign of Cancer. Cancer is a water sign and so all the water signs (Cancer, Scorpio & Pisces) will enjoy the new vibe. Capricorn will be the sign opposite and they might not feel as happy. When Cancer is riding high, we all tend to move into our emotions. Everyone becomes more sensitive. We cry more easily and we are more easily triggered. But our compassion is also strong today. Cancer wants to nurture and take care of people. So we may fuss a bit more. That is one of the ways the Crab shows their love. You remind your spouse to take their umbrella and maybe nag just a little bit, but do it out of love. This Moon is going to work well with Venus in Scorpio and that means that you may spend more today and want to do some enjoyable things instead of any work projects on the horizon. Friday November 7th
Happy Friday! We just ahead of Mercury turning retrograde on Sunday the 9th. You all know what to do now. Backup all your computer work and double-check all appointments. Write down everything and keep any confirmation numbers you get. Things get wonky when Mercury is retrograde. Some of you are already noticing this. About five days before the official retrograde date, we are in what is called ‘the shadow of the retrograde’. It can act like the retrograde period is already here. So get ahead of the curve and start to check receipts and keep paper copies as backup. Since this retrograde starts out in the sign of Sagittarius, be especially careful of what you are saying and how your communication is being received.

We also have Uranus changing signs and moving back into Ta**us where it has been for the last seven years but recently just changed into Gemini. It is also moving backward and is once again going to be in Ta**us until April 2026. So we get to go back and finish up any unfished Ta**us business. Since Ta**us rules the earth and Uranus rules upset and upheaval, we may see an earthquake of two in the coming months as this Ta**us energy upsets the earth. Sadly, this is something we have become all too familiar with.

And for today we have the Moon still in Gemini. Gemini rules the mind and so our mental energies pick up. We tend to overthink and can have multiple ideas all running around at the same time. It becomes a bit harder to concentrate for long periods on just one subject. You will do better to vary the pace and give yourself multiple breaks to stay fresh. There is a tendency to run late when the Moon is here. We try and cram too much into too little time. Try not to take on too much or say yes to everything and then have to run around trying to get it all done. Gemini is restless. This sign loves communicating, so more talking, more phone usage and more computer time. Gemini loves all the latest tech toys so be careful about impulsively buying a new toy. Keep the receipts.
