Rachael was diagnosed with juvenile rheumatoid arthritis as a baby, so injections and infusions have been part of her life for as long as she can remember. For years, her and her mom made long monthly drives to an infusion center. They would sit in a cold, sterile room for hours, waiting while the nurses cared for multiple patients at once. It was exhausting, time-consuming, and honestly pretty depressing.
