All summer long we're planning Mommy meet ups to get you out the house chile. Our first meet up is a disco luau outdoors of course hosted by CANTEEN and Enchanted engagements happening 5/18 from 4:30 - 9:30 pm. Share with your expecting families, postpartum clients and anyone who will benefit from a upcoming in-person perinatal support group sponsored by Blue Cross and Blue Shield NC hosted by Amethyst Birth!

Free to attend/ Registration is require as space is limited. First meeting of this 12 week series begins 4/25 and will run every Thursday from 9:30- 11 am.

Last weeks Untying Breastfeeding Film Screening was amazing! A room full of body workers, doulas, midwives, nurses, lactation professional, and dentists, all discussing the very real challenges our families face. Conversations like these are so necessary because without collaborative efforts, we fail! Plain and simple. It is of vital importance that we get on one accord in order to better serve birthing and breastfeeding families.

We are delighted to announce that the film maker of Untying Breastfeeding, Effath Yasmin will be joining us! Effath will be joining us all the way from India to share her insight during our panel discussion.

Effath Yasmin is India’s leading Biodynamic Craniosacral Therapist, an award-winning International Board Certified Lactation Consultant & a Documentary Film Maker. She is also an International Speaker & an Author, a Bach Flower Practitioner and Indian Flower Practitioner.
Her special interests lie in Infant Oral, Sucking & Airway Dysfunction, Tongue Tie, Birth Trauma, Craniofacial Development and a range of chronic physical and mental dis-eases & quantum energy phenomenon. She applies these sciences into Life Coaching, Inner Child Healing and Parenting. Her approach stems from the fundamental truth that human organisms are complete and self-regulatory and treatment & counseling approach is by deep listening & true empathy to mind, body and spirit rather than by intervention.

To know her is to love her. Not only are her hugs healing and she's incredibly funny but Rachael is one of Charlotte's most experienced IBCLC's. Rachael Anastasio Collins, BSN, RN, IBCLC serves families in the Greater Charlotte area through her private practice, Milked Lactation Services. She provides skilled clinical lactation care, infant feeding care, and related education. Her background includes supporting families as a staff nurse on a mother-baby unit in Chicago, IL where she first realized her interest in this field. She has served families locally as a hospital based IBCLC providing inpatient and outpatient support, been published in the Journal of Human Lactation, and volunteers for a local non-profit leading a feeding support group once a month.

She enjoys the blend of science, advocacy, and service that her work involves and believes that the IBCLC is uniquely qualified to provide specialized care for both the parent and child as individuals as well as the dyad together.

She lives in Stallings, NC with her husband, three children, and their cat.
