It's the most wonderful time of the year [for public health professionals] - National Public Health Week ( )! πŸŽ‰

Public health lives in our environments:
The air we breathe πŸ’¨
The water we drink 🚰
The food we eat πŸ₯—
The parks we enjoy 🏞

This year's theme, "Ready. Set. Action!", calls on each of us to look back at the progress we’ve made and look forward to the steps needed for an even healthier future. Because one truth guides it all: good health doesn’t just happen. It's made possible by the hard work and dedication of our public health professionals πŸ’ͺ

Happy Community Doula Week!πŸ€°πŸ½πŸ’ž

Community doulas (CDs) provide support to pregnant and postpartum women through their grounding within the community, languages, and value systems of the populations they serve.

The community doula care model has shown to reduce impacts of structural racism, address disparities in maternal health, and improve birth outcomes and experiences of care.
