🧠💻 How to Spot Health Misinformation

In today’s fast-moving digital world, it’s more important than ever to pause and verify before you share. Here are a few ways to protect yourself — and others — from misleading health information:

🔎 Check the source – Look for reputable organizations (.gov, .org, .edu).
🔬 Look for evidence – Are claims backed by peer-reviewed research? Avoid “miracle cure” language.
⚠️ Watch for emotional triggers – Fear or urgency can be a red flag.
💬 Beware of anecdotes over facts – Personal stories aren’t scientific proof.
📅 Check the date – Outdated information can be misleading.
