Learn How and Why to Grow Hedgerows

Join Us Feb. 6 at The Center at Belvedere

At 6:30 p.m. Tuesday, February 6, The Center at Belvedere will host a presentation by Claire Denton-Spalding of the Piedmont Master Gardeners on “How and Why to Grow Hedgerows.”

Popularized in the United Kingdom, these living fences of trees and shrubs support a remarkable diversity of birds, mammals, and insects. Join us to learn about the history of hedgerows, their benefits to native plants and animals, and how best to plant and maintain them in Central Virginia.

The Center is at 540 Belvedere Blvd. in Charlottesville. To register for this free program, visit https://thecentercville.org/calendar/event/109567/3.

A Hands-on Workshop About Diagnosing Plant Problems

SATURDAY, July 15, 2023
2:00 - 4:00 PM

Space is limited. Register at https://piedmontmastergardeners.org/events/ to reserve your place in the class and to find instructions on how to prepare a plant sample for diagnosis.

Registration closes 5 p.m. July 14 or when the class is full.

What a great turnout we had at our Meditation Garden Spring Event! Thank you to all who made it possible and a HUGE shout out to our meditation leaders - Mary Ann Wamhoff on the Labyrinth, Brigitta Carr doing Tai' Chi and Xing Griffith leading us in Kundalini breath work.
I was reminded of just how powerful mindful practices are when performed in a natural setting - amazing! I'm anxious to get more opportunities like this on our calendar - stay posted!
