Locally owned and locally loved since January 2004, HYC is located in downtown Charlottesville and offers 40 hot yoga classes a week (both Bikram method and Hot Vinyasa) that are open to people of all ages and abilities. Our friendly and experienced staff will guide you through your yoga practice and provide a safe yet challenging environment for your personal growth. Join an enriching and transformative 300 hour yoga teacher training led by Julia Villageliu, Sarah Baugher, and Lizzie Clark—designed to deepen your practice and prepare you to teach with confidence, clarity, and heart. You’ll explore the roots of yoga philosophy, anatomy through a fascial lens, breathwork, sequencing, somatics, and the subtle body—all while developing your authentic teaching voice. Hands-on posture labs, supervised practicum, and mentorship will give you the tools to guide thoughtful, inclusive, and impactful classes. Whether you’re looking to teach or dive deeper into your own journey, this training offers the expertise, support, and tools to help you chart your path.
Graduates from the program will receive a 300 hour teaching certificate through Yoga Alliance.
