Grateful for clients like Erik! 💙🐾

Erik and SDV Stratos, an autism service dog for his son, recently visited Cub Scout Pack 289 to teach young Scouts about service dogs—and it was a huge hit!

The Scouts watched Stratos work, seeing firsthand how he supports Erik's son as a trained partner in daily life. They learned that service dogs aren't pets—they're skilled professionals doing serious, life-changing work.

When our clients take the time to educate their communities, they create awareness that ripples far beyond a single event. Thank you, Erik, for being an amazing ambassador and of course Stratos for being a star! 🌟

SDV Woody is already making a profound difference. 💙🐾
As a facility dog with the UVA Police Dept, Woody is supporting patients and staff at UVA Health when it's needed most.

From his handler, Lt. O'Neil:
"Woody made a wonderful connection with a patient who was being sent home to Hospice. She really needed a pick-me-up and it was like Woody knew just what to do. He laid next to the patient, on her bed, and gave her great support through his calm presence. He sat closely and quietly, listening to her tell us about her past dogs, how wonderful Woody was, and that she needed him today, of all days. In that moment, I could see Woody meant everything to that patient and had taken her mind to a better place for a little while."

This is the heart of what facility dogs do—using their specialized training to provide connection and hope in life's most difficult moments.
