I'm a fan of this Portland massage therapist's writings. Check it out, and keep this in mind when caring for your body, and those tight places that speak to you. BTW, it's really great news if you and your body are still on active speaking terms. We simply need to remember that language which we were born with.

If you never lift your arm over your head, you will, sooner or later, lose the ability to lift your arm over your head: that's why I move. Or, as some people might call it -- but I don't -- "stretch." *I will never again allow my students to use the word stretch... I will say full range of movement....

I'm an ManKind Project initiate dating back to 2005. This is powerful work, not for the faint of heart. I have been introduced to some of the most dedicated souls in this work. While I have taken breaks from active involvement with this work, I have never wavered from support their mission and vision. If you are seeking men who will hold you accountable this is an invaluable resource. There are chapters of this organization world wide. If we, as men, don't hold ourselves accountable to each other, who will? This is a place to start that journey.

Very important to know about ligaments and how we can better care for, and honor our bodies.

The 20-some students were earnest, curious and right on board with our slower-than-usual approach to asana practice, and our emphasis on meditation and philosophy. I am inspired to know that this group of teachers is bringing their wisdom into the world of yoga.
