After more than three decades serving people with disabilities, Chuck McElroy, executive director of ServiceSource affiliate WorkSource Enterprises in Charlottesville, Virginia, is retiring June 30.

Chuck’s leadership with WorkSource, Vaaccses - Virginia Association of Community Rehabilitation Programs, the Virginia Department for Aging and Rehabilitative Services, and throughout the disability community has made a lasting impact. We are grateful for his extraordinary contributions and wish him a happy, well-deserved retirement!

There wasn’t a cloud in sight at WorkSource today when Meteorologist Travis Koshko stopped by day support for a visit! It was an especially bright spot for long time participant and WorkSource’s very own weatherman, Bill!

✨ A Beautiful Moment Worth Sharing ✨
Yesterday we witnessed something truly special. While visiting one of our favorite local restaurants, one of our day support clients lit up with joy when the manager recognized her from her lunch visits. Her smile said everything — she felt seen, valued, and remembered. She was so excited that she asked for a picture with him, and he happily agreed. ❤️
Moments like this remind us why social connection matters so deeply. For the individuals we serve, these everyday interactions — a warm greeting, a familiar face, a simple “I remember you!” — can mean the world. They build confidence, spark joy, and help our clients feel included in the community they belong to.
A huge thank you to Joe at Timberwood Tap House for taking the time to make her feel welcomed and appreciated. These small acts create big impacts, and yesterday was a beautiful reminder of just how powerful genuine human connection can be. 💛
