Happy New Year! I saw a couple of signs on New Years’ Eve that made me laugh: “2020, one star, wouldn’t recommend.” And: “If 2020 were a person, it would be my ex.” Harsh, but it was that kind of year.
Reflecting on last year, a bright spot for me has been being of service to you. Thank you so much for your trust in me and for giving me the opportunity to be part of your health care. I strive to give you the best care that I possibly can. I love what I do and you have not only made it possible, but have brought me joy and human connection along the way. For those of you who have been hunkering down during the pandemic and have suspended your care, I miss seeing your smiling faces (actually, I miss seeing everyone’s smiling faces!). Please know, we are here for you if you need us.
The pandemic has, of course, changed the way we practice. Besides the masks, the Clorox wipes, the sneeze guards at the front desk and the hand washing till it hurts, we’ve also lengthened the appointment times to provide more social/physical distancing. For the most part, we have been able to get our patients right into a treatment room to help keep us all safe. The longer appointment times both for chiropractic and massage have had the side benefit of providing even better care in a more relaxed setting. We really like these longer sessions and plan to keep them even after the pandemic is behind us.
Speaking of getting the pandemic behind us, we are really looking forward to getting vaccinated when our turn comes. For almost everybody, the benefits far outweigh the risks. We feel good about doing this for ourselves, our neighbors, our community, our country and our world. We are all in this together and we will all get out of this together.
Love, health, happiness, peace and joy to all of you. Here’s to more fun in ‘21!
