Today I was thinking about how a former partner said that seeing chakra colors with your eyes closed was bologna. He said it was somehow the light around us reflecting. (Why I subject myself to disbelief is another story entirely 😉) I have thought about that and tested it for many years. ••• I knew it wasn’t true for me, I knew I had say in deep meditation at times and felt bright green in my heart and dances and spots of purple in my head before I knew they were connected with the heart and the third eye. I didn’t usually have the specific conditions that made for better science though, so I sat with the experiential knowing. ••• Today, the science was strong. I went out in the snowstorm, completely grey white sky and laid on my back in the snow. Without prompting I did a body scan and my eyes filled with bright right, molten lava like color. Was this coming from the sky? Absolutely not. It was coming from within. ••• There is now an emerging body of resarxh that points to chara centers aligning with nerve centers in the body and this feels like innate wisdom to me. As someone with nerve pain for most of my life, I probably just got to peek into the reality a bit early.

Hi friends! Just realized I didn’t post on this account about how Im now offering pay what you may somatic healings in my Charlottesville mountain home. ••• what does that mean? Well, it’s different for everyone. For some people it’s like a cellular level massage or very gentle energy work, releasing deep blockages and guiding energy through your body in a safe and gentle way. For others I use more of my talk therapy background and use recent or past experiences as an entry point to locate and release stored emotions and trauma. Either way I listen to your body. We start with tea, continue seated or laying for the session and do integration work when it’s over. Come as you are. This is a big push/pull energy week and this might feel supportive now or before the holidays. If that feels right for you, come visit. Me and the cats are ready!

Today I was interviewed by a student about being a social worker. She asked me what I like about my job and I immediately began to cry. That is a good feeling, never had it so deeply before. My job is hard but I try to support and heal families. To give them hope that they are strong and not alone. I feel valued amongst my colleagues and the institution. It was a very long road to get here and today was a good day.

After 10 years running The Mind Body Project I'm excited to have hired my own coach for the business! I found someone who personally and professionally feels like a great fit. That means I'm going back to the drawing board with branding, offerings, copy, strategy and more.

I'm equally looking forward to reconnecting with old friends who have supported many of our business developments along the way (there are SO many). Theresa D'Alessandro Flagg, Maureen Faley, Kurien Thomas Sarah Crane Leslie Forman Natalie Bennett to name a few...

This August I had a heart-opening experience in Asheville, NC during the end of my first solo road trip.

I appreciate the people in my life that understand this and support me getting out of the “productivity/success” loop. (Don’t get me wrong, I had to prove I could do it to myself and others…but it’s not my future path.) I’m a healer and lover above all else. Not because I want to be, because I am fully alive to myself.
