After speaking to a nurse on the phone, she told me to go to the ED.
Went to the emergency room Saturday July 2nd, I couldn't turn my head without being in awful pain.
I did. Got there and was basically told there was nothing they could do and they gave me muscle relaxers and sent me on my way. They didn't do any imaging, no physical therapy to help the pain, just gave me pills and they even said the pills might not help. Told me to take tylenol, ibuprofen and the prescription they gave.
I go home, take muscle relaxers, ibuprofen and tylenol, and try to sleep. I wake up in severe pain. I cannot hardly move at all, like I couldn't even get out of bed without crying. I have a pretty high pain tolerance, just recently had a baby with no issues, I would rather give birth again then deal with this neck and shoulder pain I have.
Now it's late afternoon on a Saturday and literally everything is closed or closing for the 4th of July holiday weekend. I'm crying in pain, desperate to find some relief. I looked up chiropractors and the only one I could find that was available on short notice during a holiday weekend was Dr. Ernie Richter.
I called him and he said he could see me within an hour. My husband took me to see him out in Chatfield.
He was incredible. He was super funny and down to earth. He made things very comfortable and easy to understand. He even got my husband involved with hands on stuff, it was great.
We did physical therapy stretches to loosen my body up a bit and then he adjusted my whole back.
Afterwards I could actually turn my head without sobbing.
I still have residual pain between my shoulders but I think that's from being all tensed up and out of sorts.
But other than that, I'm literally a hundred times better.
I would recommend Ernie to anyone and everyone who needs chiropractic care. He definitely knows what he's doing and has a lifetime worth of experience. 10/10, five stars, wonderful experience.
