Thank you to Hospice Liaison, Alicia, and volunteer, Angela, from Suncrest Hospice - North Jersey, NJ, for providing relaxing hand massages to our community. Their soothing touches helped ease tension, improve circulation, and left everyone feeling refreshed and rejuvenated. This was a hit and we had a packed room! We’re excited for them to return in May for more sessions!

Junipers Connections Director, and Lifestyle Concierge recently attended The Empty Nester Semester® Personal Purpose Class at Drew University. The team met potential volunteers and networked with organizations eager to partner with Juniper Village. This event provided a fantastic space to introduce our mission and build meaningful social and professional relationships. We are excited about the new connections that will continue to enrich the Juniper Village experience.

Thank you to the volunteers from the League of Women Voters Morris Area for assisting community members with the voting process for the upcoming elections. They provided information about the candidates, assisted with address changes if needed and help community members decide between in-person or mail-in voting. This support ensures that everyone is well-prepared and informed as they prepare to cast their ballots.

Happy hours are always a hit at Juniper Village at Chatham! Community members enjoyed refreshing raspberry and blueberry mint mojitos while catching up with friends. These gatherings are the perfect way to unwind and enjoy a delicious treat in great company. We love seeing everyone come together to sip, relax, and enjoy the lively atmosphere.

Each April, we celebrate a dual milestone: our Juniper anniversary and the birthday of the woman who inspired it all!

April 6 marked the birthday of Lynne Katzmann’s grandmother, Oma. A true original, Oma survived two world wars, ran her own business in the 1920s and rode her motorcycle well into her 70s. Lynne chose April 6 to launch a bold new vision of what it means to grow older.

Nearly 40 years later, our veteran leadership team carries Oma’s spirit into everything we do. But what truly sets us apart is the depth of experience we have gained over these 38 years, having navigated an evolving industry and the journey of getting older together.

Our strength lies in our shared history, providing the deep roots for a strong culture and a pioneering spirit to keep pushing boundaries and exploring new possibilities.

This role focuses on understanding each community member as an individual, including their routines, preferences, and daily needs. By doing so, we can more intentionally foster engagement, connection, and well-being in a way that feels natural and personalized.
