The U.S. Department of Education (ED) released its proposed rule from the Reimagining and Improving Student Education (RISE) Committee. One component of the rule relates to student loan limits for professional and graduate programs. Graduate programs have lower student loan limits than professional programs. The ED designates social work as a graduate program for purposes of student loan limits. is preparing comments to the ED challenging this rule and will provide sample comments for social workers in the coming weeks through our Advocacy Listserv at https://www.socialworkers.org/Advocacy/Action-Center.
