North Los Angeles County Regional Center The center does not serve individuals with disabling conditions that are solely physical, solely psychiatric or learning disabilities.

NLACRC is a private nonprofit agency that contracts with the State of California to provide services & support to people with developmental disabilities. North Los Angeles County Regional Center provides services and support for people of all ages with developmental disabilities and their families who live within the city of Los Angeles in the East Valley, San Fernando and West Valley, or in the Antelope Valley or Santa Clarita Valley Health Districts of Los Angeles County. To be eligible for service, individuals must have a developmental disability which began before their 18thy birthday, be expected to continue indefinitely and present a substantial disability. The disability must be due to autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, intellectual disability or a disabling condition closely related to or requiring similar treatment. Infants and toddlers at risk of having a developmental disability or who have a developmental delay, and individuals who are at risk of having a child with a developmental disability may also qualify for services. Geographic and other restrictions apply. Services may include advocacy, assessment and diagnosis, case management, community education, disability counseling, early intervention for at-risk infants, family support, outreach, out-of-home placement and monitoring, purchase of services and training. Clients are eligible to receive life-long services; they may be referred to contracting agencies for some services.

Be Prepared: Heavy Rainfall
Our area is forecast to experience high winds and heavy rainfall, which may lead to flooding and potential mudslides, especially in low-lying areas, near hillsides and previous burn scars.

What to Expect
· Strong winds that may knock down trees or power line
· Heavy rainfall over a short period
· Flooding on roads, creeks, and low-lying areas
· Mudslides or debris flows, particularly near slopes and burn areas

Stay Safe
· Secure outdoor items that could be blown away
· Avoid driving through flooded roads
· Stay away from hillsides, streams, and drainage channels
· Prepare for possible power outages
· Follow local alerts and emergency instructions

If You Must Travel
· Allow extra time
· Watch for fallen debris, standing water, and road closures

Emergency
· If you are in immediate danger, call 911. For updates, monitor local news and official weather alerts.

This year’s decorations were extra special created by the individuals we serve, each ornament reflects their unique voice, creativity, and individuality. These beautiful pieces are displayed not only on the main Capitol tree, but also on our very own NLACRC tree, showcasing the incredible talent within our community.
