NLACRC is a private nonprofit agency that contracts with the State of California to provide services & support to people with developmental disabilities. North Los Angeles County Regional Center provides services and support for people of all ages with developmental disabilities and their families who live within the city of Los Angeles in the East Valley, San Fernando and West Valley, or in the Antelope Valley or Santa Clarita Valley Health Districts of Los Angeles County. To be eligible for service, individuals must have a developmental disability which began before their 18thy birthday, be expected to continue indefinitely and present a substantial disability. The disability must be due to autism, cerebral palsy, epilepsy, intellectual disability or a disabling condition closely related to or requiring similar treatment. Infants and toddlers at risk of having a developmental disability or who have a developmental delay, and individuals who are at risk of having a child with a developmental disability may also qualify for services. Geographic and other restrictions apply. Services may include advocacy, assessment and diagnosis, case management, community education, disability counseling, early intervention for at-risk infants, family support, outreach, out-of-home placement and monitoring, purchase of services and training. Clients are eligible to receive life-long services; they may be referred to contracting agencies for some services.

AI isn’t replacing people—it’s freeing us to do the human work that matters. ✨
Every time AI comes up in regional centers, someone asks:
“Are we losing one‑to‑one connection?”
Not at all. AI cuts the red tape—like 45‑day IPP translations—so service coordinators can focus on relationships, not paperwork.
We shouldn’t move at the pace of government. We should move at the speed of life. That’s what our community deserves.
AI is here to support and strengthen our workforce—not replace it.
