Attention: As Medicare open enrollment concludes, it is crucial to review your health plan for the upcoming year. Many plans will see significant increases in drug deductibles, ranging from $250 to $615. For example, my own deductible is rising from $0 to $615, and one of my essential providers will no longer be in-network. Additionally, Cigna plans will not be offered next year; affected members will be automatically enrolled in Health Springs. Please verify that your medical providers and prescriptions remain covered and that the new deductible is manageable. The deadline to make changes is Sunday, December 7th. Prompt action is strongly recommended.

Your Medicare coverage is changing—don’t get caught off guard.

⚠️ What You Need to Know:

Prescription Deductibles Are Rising Many Medicare Advantage plans will now include a Part D deductible. Some plans are jumping to over $600 in 2026.

Cigna Plans Are Ending. If you have Cigna, you’ve been auto enrolled into Health Springs. Confirm NOW that your doctors accept this plan and check the drug deductible.

SNAP UPDATE

Last week, some people got partial SNAP benefits (food stamps). Full SNAP benefits will be added onto some EBT cards today, Monday 11/17/25:

SNAP households that get benefits on the 1st-16th of the month, will get the rest of November benefits today!
SNAP households that get benefits on the 17th-20th of the month, will get full November benefits on their normal scheduled date.

All eligible SNAP households should have their full November benefits by November 20. Funding for SNAP is secure for the remainder of fiscal year 2026.

December benefits will go out normally.
