The longer I do this work, the more I realize how much community shapes our health. Not just physically but the kind that comes from being seen, supported, and connected.

That’s why the podcast means so much to me. Every conversation reminds me that Chattanooga is full of people doing meaningful work, showing up for their neighborhoods, and building something bigger than themselves.

I’m grateful I get to sit down with these folks, learn from them, and share their stories—especially alongside two people who care deeply about this city: my co-hosts, .garza1 and .bergenback. Doing this with them makes the whole thing even better.

Grateful for the outreach!

Health is an ecosystem. If we want a healthier community, we have to build it with intention and together.

Thanksgiving week is basically the Super Bowl for the nervous system-travel, family, dynamics, food, schedules… all the variables show up at once.

If you feel like your body is asking for a little extra margin, listen.

Take a pep talk walk, or as my dad would say during the holidays, “I’m going to just lay down and close my eyes for a moment.”

Slowing down is a psychological strategy, not a personality trait.

Every week I get reminded of this, healing doesn’t happen in isolation. It happens in community.

I’m deeply grateful for the people who walk through our doors with Hope, curiosity, and the courage to do something different for their health. This work is more than just meaningful to you, it’s meaningful to those who get to be around you.

This week we will be out of the office celebrating Thanksgiving with friends and family and reflecting on the people we are grateful for. As you connect with loved ones this week, I hope you feel vibrant and fully yourself.

What if your body isn’t actually broken?

Most people think their symptoms mean something is “wrong.”

But symptoms aren’t always failures, they’re feedback. Your body is trying to get your attention.

A lot of the time, the real issue isn’t the body… it’s interference in the nervous system. If the message from the brain can’t get through, the body can’t respond the way it’s designed to.

That’s why every visit, we check the nervous system first. It’s the control center. It’s the lever that actually moves things.

Your body isn’t broken, it might just need a clearer signal.

Our last Communication Connections of the year is this Wednesday and would love to see you there.

We are gathering at from 6 to 8 PM and it’s always the same vibe: easy conversation, great energy, and a chance to connect without any pressure or agenda.

These evenings have become one of our favorite rhythm of the month, just a room full of people who value growth, curiosity, and community.

I just shared a new post on Substack that dives into something I’ve been thinking about a lot lately — how the nervous system, stress, and sugar are linked!

It’s easy to get frustrated when you feel you’re in the “stress-slumps” (feeling wired and tired at the same time). If only there was something to help your system feel clear! 🤔

🌿 Health Isn’t About Being Perfect

Real health isn’t about never getting sick, tired, or stressed — it’s about how well your body can adapt to what life throws at you.

That ability to adapt comes from your nervous system, the foundation that controls every organ, cell, and tissue in your body. When your nervous system is balanced and communicating properly, your body can handle change and stress more effectively.

If you’ve been feeling like your body isn’t adapting well — maybe you’re run down, overwhelmed, or not recovering like you used to — it might be time to look at how your nervous system is functioning.

In our office, we use thermography testing to see how your nervous system is regulating and communicating. It helps us pinpoint areas of stress or interference that could be holding you back.

You can also support your nervous system at home by these foundational activities:
🧘‍♀️ Practicing deep breathing or mindfulness
🚶‍♂️ Getting daily movement
😴 Prioritizing rest and recovery
🥦 Nourishing your body with whole foods

You know most of this already — I know! I also know it’s not always easy to do ALL the right things. Health isn’t about perfection — it’s about working a little at a time with your body’s ability to adapt, recover, and thrive. 💫
