During Breast Cancer Awareness Month, we’re proud to recognize Dr. Betsy Washburn and Dr. Aparajita Spencer, fellowship-trained breast surgeons at CHI Memorial Breast Care Associates, who are dedicated to providing expert, compassionate care for women facing breast cancer.

Every October, our MaryEllen Locher Breast Center receives many donations from the community. This week, this sweet group of girls donated money they raised by selling lemonade and homemade playdough. They wanted to donate the money raised to MELBC to help women and men during their breast cancer journey.

We are so grateful to these amazing children and their parents!

We’re proud to welcome Aparajita Spencer, MD, to CHI Memorial Breast Care Associates! 💕

Dr. Spencer is a fellowship-trained breast surgeon who received her medical degree from the University of Alabama at Birmingham, where she also completed her fellowship in breast surgery. She completed her general surgery residency at Novant New Hanover Regional Medical Center in Wilmington, North Carolina.

Dr. Spencer brings advanced surgical expertise and a compassionate approach to breast health care. She is dedicated to helping patients feel supported and confident every step of the way.
