Linda Joyce Schroeder, 82, of Chattanooga, TN and a beloved retired teacher of The Lutheran School/Belvoir Christian Academy, passed away on Wednesday, November 12, 2025.
She was born in Chicago, Illinois on March 23, 1943 to the late Roy and Elsie Schroeder.
Ms. Schroeder dedicated 45 years as a called Lutheran school teacher. Most of those years were spent teaching fifth grade as well as PE classes for Middle School and coaching volleyball. She retired in 2010. She was also a very dedicated member of First Lutheran Church where she was a life-long choir member as well as serving on the hospitality committee. Her favorite way to serve was on the Camp Board for First Lutheran Church Camp in Soddy-Daisy, TN where she spent many hours working and enjoying camp activities. Linda loved hiking, traveling, and added pickleball after retiring from school activities.
Those who were fortunate enough to call her teacher will always remember her spunkiness and her wry sense of humor. She will be greatly missed.
Survivors include her brother, Doug (Mary) Schroeder, nephew, Brian Schroeder, niece, Katie (Corby) Carbone, great-nephew, Anthony Carbone and many other beloved family, friends and former students.
The family will receive friends from 2:00 to 3:30 pm on Sunday, November 16, 2025 in the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home. A celebration of Ms. Linda’s life will follow in the chapel at 3:30 pm with Pastor Gilbert Pingel and Pastor Donald Welmer officiating.

James Michael Keen, 76, died at home after a brief illness on November 8, 2025
Mike grew up in Rossville, GA, attended Lakeview High School, and lived in Chattanooga as an adult. He served his country in Vietnam before working for various Chattanooga employers, including Dupont, Arcade Printing, and Amazon.
Known as Papaw or Miker Boy by the children in his life, Mike was a man of simple tastes, a mischievous nature, and a big heart. He was a lifelog fan of Dale Earnhardt, the Atlanta Braves, and the Tennessee Vols, and was the kind of man who built a pool in his yard just so all the kids in his life had a place to gather and play, regardless of their age.
Mike is preceded by his parents Ernestine Brewer and James Sterling Keen.
Mike will be greatly missed by his wife of 29 years, Debra Combs Keen, stepchildren Kenneth Walker and Pamela Parker, grandchildren Cole Walker (Corey), Kayla McGowan (Derrick), Tyler Walker, Brandon Walker, Caitlin Miller, and Stephen Parker, sisters Kathryn Gregory (Tommy) and Paula Southwood, and numerous great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews.
In keeping with Mike’s wishes, the family will not be holding a service. Arrangements are by Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Richard Lamar Shadwick, husband, father, and proud grandfather, passed away peacefully on Monday, November 10, 2025, at the age of 73. A lifelong resident of the Chattanooga area, Richard was known for his strong work ethic and his immense love for his family.
For many dedicated years, Richard worked in the construction industry, in asphalt paving. He took great pride in his work, contributing to the roads and infrastructure of his community with skill and reliability.
Richard’s greatest joy came from his large and loving family. He was of the Baptist faith. Outside of work, he was an avid fisherman, finding peace and contentment on the water.
He is survived by his wife, Gail Shadwick, three children, Melissa Goines-Skelton (and husband John) of Ooltewah, TN, Jeff Shadwick of Ooltewah, TN, Jason Shadwick (and wife Vicki) of Hixson, TN.
Richard's legacy continues through his eight precious grandchildren, who brought him boundless happiness: Skyler, Larissa, Jameson, Jason, Jr., Matthew, Hope, Faith, and Noah.
He is also survived by his sister, Shirley Ferris, of Hixson, TN, and several nieces and nephews.
Richard was the son of the late Ephram and Annie Lou Shadwick and was preceded in death by his two brothers, Charles and George Shadwick.
The family will receive friends for visitation on Monday, November 17, 2025, from 4:00 PM to 7:00 PM at the Valley View Chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home.

Mr. Lois Gill Robison, age 84, passed away peacefully on November 8, 2025. He was born on July 30, 1941, and spent his life devoted to family, hard work, and the simple joys of country living.
Lois had a love of raising cattle and took great pride in caring for his herd. He also enjoyed playing softball with his nephews and sharing laughter and good times on the field. His strong work ethic and kind heart will be remembered by all who knew him.
He is survived by a sister Loarine White, and several nieces and nephews who loved him dearly.
Lois was preceded in death by his siblings, Oscar Robison, Doyle Robison, Paul Robison, Ralph Robison, Annie Mae Hullender, John Henry Robison, Frank Robison, Rosada Whitner, and Jerry Robison.
Pallbearers include Jimmy Hullender, Harry Hullender, Berri McCulley, Brandon McCulley, Matt McCulley, and Jerry Bogie Robison
His memory will live on in the hearts of his family and friends who loved him dearly.
The family will receive friends at the Valley View chapel of Chattanooga Funeral Home from 4-8 Friday, November 14, and from 11-12 Saturday, November 15. Funeral services will follow at noon in the Chapel.

Emily "Sally" Florence Davis, age 90, of Harrison, Tennessee passed away on Monday, November 3, 2025. Sally was born in Ooltewah, Tennessee to Elizabeth Cline and John Cline.
Sally was preceded in death by her spouse Kenneth Davis; her son James Davis; her father John Cline and her mother Elizabeth Cline.
Sally is survived by her son Les Davis, 5 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren.
A visitation for Sally will be held Friday, November 7, 2025 from 11:00 AM to 12:00 PM at Chattanooga Funeral Home, 7414 Old Lee Hwy, Chattanooga, TN 37421, followed by a Memorial Service at 12:00 p.m.

Shirley May Wall, age 89, of Harrison, Tennessee, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 31, 2025. She was born in Michigan City, Indiana, and made her home in Tennessee for many years.
Shirley was a devoted member of Lake Hills Church of Christ, where she lovingly served as a past church secretary. Her quiet strength, kindness, and unwavering faith touched everyone who knew her.
A gifted artist, Shirley found joy and peace in painting beautiful landscapes that reflected her love of nature. She was also a true animal lover, always caring for the creatures that crossed her path. Throughout her life, she worked with dedication at Erlanger Hospital and Olan Mills, where she formed many lasting friendships.
Those who knew Shirley will remember her for her gentle spirit, creativity, and the warmth she brought to every room. She will be deeply missed and forever cherished by her several nieces, nephews, and cousins, along with all who were blessed to share in her life.
A graveside service will be held on Wednesday, November 12, 2025, at 2:00 PM at Greenwood Cemetery, 1954 Greenwood Road, Chattanooga, TN 37406, with Minister Charles Cochran officiating.
Shirley’s legacy of faith, love, and kindness will continue to live on in the hearts of those she touched.

Sally Elaine Ruder Crawford, 73, of Chattanooga, Tennessee, passed away on Thursday, October 30, 2025.
Sally was born in Spokane, Washington, to the late Paul and Evelyn Ruder. She was preceded in death by her first husband, Jerry Taylor, and her brother, Steve Ruder.
Sally was a member of the Seventh-day Adventist Church and served as a leading soprano in several choirs, including the renowned Crystal Cathedral Choir in California (now known as Christ Cathedral). She began her career teaching home economics at Shenandoah Valley Academy in New Market, Virginia, and later served as a college registrar and administrator at several institutions, including Kettering College of Medical Arts in Dayton, Ohio, Mount Saint Mary’s University in Los Angeles, California, and Ocean County College in Toms River, New Jersey.
The ocean was Sally’s happy place. She loved hiking, bowling, quilting and caring for her beloved pets—cats, dogs, and a rabbit named Skip which was treated as if he were a cat. She had a deep passion for quilting and generously volunteered her skills with Quilts for Kids, creating handmade quilts to comfort children in need. She was known for her kindness, generosity, and unwavering love for those around her. She will be deeply missed.
She is survived by her husband, Charles Crawford; her sons, Todd Taylor and Greg (Kim) Taylor; grandsons, Matthew and Joshua Taylor; brother, Dick (Sharon) Ruder; and several nieces and nephews.
