Dear friends, I just want to update you on the cleft mission at the Duncan Hospital in Bihar.

We had screening yesterday and it was one of the largest in India for Love Without Reason. Over 150 patients showed up to the camp. We were up till midnight making sure that the patients were taken care of. The government of Bihar did an incredible job through the RBSK to help us with the camp. The Duncan Hospital team has been fabulous and a huge blessing to many.

We found that many children were sick and had to be sent home. Apparently there was a change in climate recently that caused a lot of kids to catch a cold. So we have selected around 70 patients for surgery, and the remaining ones had up be sent home.

This morning our surgeons began the surgeries. On day one we completed 17 surgeries. All the children did well and are recovering from surgery.

Several kids are scheduled for surgery tomorrow. Keep us in your prayers. Our bodies are holding on, but screening 150 patients on a single day is not easy. My entire team is awesome. They worked super hard with hardly any rest. The morale is super hight, even though our aching bones tell a different story.

I had to share a picture of this child. The parents aborted this child on a street in Bihar because of the cleft. An adoption agency took this child in and brought him to us. Hearing his story just broke my heart. Tomorrow we plan to do his surgery. Keep him in your prayers. Tomorrow is the beginning of a new destiny. He is now part of the Love Without Reason family, no matter who adopts him. I know his future will be blessed.
