When I was a little boy, my father lied to me...
He told me he couldn’t be a great example of what a father or man should be
He said that his example fell short in many ways and the best he could do, with what he knew, was all he had for me
He even tried to convince me that I was a better father than he
because of the love I tried to show my kids but how can this be?!
As great a man I could become nothing can compare
To the best example of “Father” that is Hasselle C. Ware
"A father doesn’t tell you he loves you. He shows you."
If you ever have the pleasure of meeting my father, everything makes perfect sense! Lol
I didn’t want to be like my father, as a child, I wanted to be his twin! I wanted to dress like him, sit like him and drink like him. Although beer was not on the menu apple juice looked just the same to me AND later on I would be blessed with IBC rootbeer (in the bottle) so look at me I’m on top of the world! There are many great memories that were all sponsored by Dad that showed his love and support and how proud he has been, even with the mistakes I’ve made. When I got out of Massage school andI came by to visit briefly before their evening service, Dad was laying on the bed in pain and couldn’t move. As usual he had done too much and hurt his back. No service tonight. I didn’t have much time soo I asked him to let me try something. I worked on him for a couple of minutes, he got up, got dressed, and mom and dad went to service.
When I look at the man I have become and strive to continue to be I can’t help but see my father in my reflection as well.
"The older a man gets, the more he values everything his dad gave him."
