🥳2026 is going to be such a *BOLD* year. 🖤

One of my theme words I’m setting for 2026 is Be Bold.
I took the initial step and applied to be a team member of of and was accepted! 🥹

In the year that I am signing up to take on some of my biggest challenges, I wanted to assure myself I did something that (well aware) I am terrible at: Ask for help. 😳
As the team name suggests “nobody cares” that is the exact opposite of what the team actually stands for. After kicking off my ultra running journey through Gone Loco in 2023 with their 55k distance then completing their 11 mile distance the following few years, this organization showed me how supportive and fun (okay type 2 fun 😜) the ultra running community could be, no matter my ability/pace.

I am more excited than ever to take on Gone Loco 55k in February and then my 100 miler in April while representing this crew and having their unwavering support.

Beyond grateful to have the opportunity to (slowly) run faster and represent this team in 2026! ♥️🖤
Cheers to doing hard things and being comfortable in the uncomfortable.
Be bold.
Be better.
Empower the athlete within.
And remember…. Nobody Cares, Run Faster. 🏃🏼‍♀️ 💨

“When your life is in conflict with your true self you feel out of balance and unfulfilled as you are not being true to yourself.
No one knows what suits you and what is best for you but yourself.
Search within and seek what you love and enjoy your life.”

With the chaos of the holidays, and the start of a new year, make sure you are taking time to reflect on your own journey. What is serving you? What is harmful to reaching your goals? What is energizing you vs draining you? Are you aligned with your purpose? 🤍 Let’s use this time of celebration and slower pace to take full advantage of rejuvenation to kick the new year off on grounded feet! 👣

🩶Allow for pauses that are chosen rather than forced. 🤍

How often do we get swept up into the chaos of life and go, go, go, go until we are burned out/sick/etc? 🫣

Who else is guilty of this? 🙋🏼‍♀️ I am still learning this lesson so do as I say, not as I do. But I’m making a conscious effort and decision to be better. I invite you to walk through this journey alongside me.

How often do you ignore your needs to tend to others? How often do you brush off an injury because it’ll ‘work itself out’ or ‘no pain no gain’? 🙋🏼‍♀️ Now are some of these responsibilities or feelings correct at times? YES. Sometimes you have to sacrifice to meet goals, help others, fight through pain to build resilience/toughness/understanding of good vs bad pain/etc.

But how do you recover from those episodes of self sacrifice? 🤷🏼‍♀️ When you know you did a zone 5 run instead of your prescribed zone 2 run? (I would never do that 💁🏼‍♀️ haha whoopsies) what does your consistent self-care routine look like? Do you take a moment each day to rejuvenate yourself from the consistent chaos we absorb or do you wake up and instantly kick off your fight or flight mode by getting on your phone/running late/no routine?

Well. This is a common problem but this quite tonight hit me. Allow for pauses that are chosen rather than forced. A similar quote to this is one along the lines of take care of your body or you will be forced to.

Here’s your reminder to sit in stillness in the morning to enjoy a few sips of your coffee. Go on a 10 minute walk before breakfast. Stand on one foot while brushing your teeth and then switch sides to brush your hair.

♥️Take care of your one and only body. 🩶
It’s not always going to be the most fun answer but it will be the most rewarding in the long run.

“You might not realize it yet, but every time you picked yourself up, every time you tried again when no one was watching, every time you whispered “I can do this” with tears in your eyes — you were building a future you’ll be proud to live in. Keep going. Your effort is rewriting your whole life.”

Monday Motivation.

You. Can. Do. It.

You can do hard things.

Is everything always going to turn out the way you pictured it? Absolutely not, but that’s where the beauty of grit and determination comes in as well as grace. Allowing yourself to be grateful for the journey to accomplishments that allow for adaptability and flexibility. Just because it didn’t turn out the way you wanted or expected, doesn’t mean it isn’t the right pathway for you. ♥️

“Your competition isn’t someone else. Your competition is the attitude, habits, discipline, and choices you make on a daily basis.”

How are you consistently showing up for YOURSELF? 🥰

Wisdom Wednesday hitting hard since I have this conversation all the time with patients about how they show up and take care of their self. This can be so hard to truly understand what our bodies are telling us that we need to do. But also sometimes it’s choosing to do the hard and uncomfortable option to challenge yourself and grow. That’s also a form of self care, not just “work life balance” or some trending fad for mental health. Your brain is a muscle as well, you have to train it to adapt. Choosing to do hard things actually gives you more energy in the long run but it’s also about how you nourish yourself in and around these hard times that can take a toll.

As we go into “slow” season that is also beyond busy with to dos, take a moment to reflect and refresh on yourself. How do you nourish your mind, body, and spirit on a daily basis? How can we improve on this? What do you look forward to everyday?

❤️

🫶🏼December❄️

The month of slowing down, reflection, and reset. The finish line to 2025 is quickly approaching. How are you going to use these next 31 days to set yourself up for continued success?

I am doing a 31 day journal focusing on goal setting, reflecting, self discovery, and more. I invite you to participate with me. I will share the prompts in using each day in my stories. If you want to share them with me, please do!

December 1st prompt: “Write about a moment this year when you surprised yourself, even in a small way.”

Check my stories for the daily prompt to join me in this journaling month to reflect, celebrate, and grow. ♥️

Shout out to Meghan Olivia on the inspiration and prompts.
