The North Wing 8 team at Erlanger Baroness Hospital are a force to be reckoned with! Under the guidance of Nurse Manager Abby Kincaid, the team has received stellar reviews from exit surveys, where patients describe feeling respected, listened to, and informed of their care. Their scores rival those of top-performing hospital units nationwide!

NW8 is a 38-bed general surgery acute care unit, where the team cares for patients who need additional care after surgery before returning home. Thank you, NW8, for the outstanding care you provide to patients and their families.

The 2026 Erlanger Advanced Practice Providers (APP) Conference was one for the books—sold out for the third year in a row! The conference is a dedicated time for APPs, including physician assistants and nurse practitioners, to network with and learn alongside peers from hospitals and health systems across the region. We're grateful for the expertise and care APPs provide here at Erlanger and throughout our community. We can't wait until next year!

We extend deep gratitude to Lynn DeJaco (left) as she retires from her role as Chief Financial Officer, and a warm welcome to our new CFO, Stephanie Gary!

Lynn has been a steady and trusted presence at Erlanger. She strengthened our financial foundation and played a pivotal role during both the COVID-19 pandemic and our transition to a private nonprofit organization. Stephanie joined Erlanger last summer as Senior Vice President of Finance Operations and Effectiveness and brings more than 14 years of healthcare financial leadership to her new role as CFO.

We wish Lynn a restful retirement and are excited to see where Stephanie takes us next!

✨BIG changes are coming to Children's Hospital at Erlanger!✨

We’re excited to announce major renovations to the Children’s emergency department, main lobby, and entryways to better serve the 80,000+ patients and families we see each year.

Construction will begin this summer, though many projects are already underway, including:

- a new Behavioral Health space within the ED
- a Fast Track area for non-emergent patients to move through the department more quickly
- a project to convert current rooms to be more sensory friendly

"When families walk into Children's," said Erlanger CEO Jim Coleman at today’s press conference, "they are often facing one of the most difficult days of their lives. We want to make the first moment when they enter through the door to say, without a single word: you are safe, you are not alone, and you’re in the right place."

Chattanooga Football Club leadership took some time away from the pitch for a tour of Erlanger's downtown facilities, guided by Erlanger CEO Jim Coleman. The group toured LIFE FORCE headquarters and Erlanger Regional Operations Center (EROC), wrapping up with a presentation of signed jerseys from the team.

From ankle sprains to hamstring strains, our Certified Athletic Trainers (ATCs) help our local student athletes stay safe, healthy, and on top of their game! Erlanger's Sports Medicine Program employs 37 athletic trainers at 21 high schools and 4 colleges as well as in our Sports Medicine clinics.

ATCs work closely with team physicians to provide services such as prevention, emergency care, clinical diagnosis, therapeutic intervention, and rehabilitation of injuries and medical conditions. Thank you for all that you for our student athletes!
