As we celebrate Women's History Month, I want to thank the women who work for the City of Chattanooga. These are just some of the brilliant minds and warm faces I see around City Hall, but you'll see hundreds of more across our departments — from first responders to the GIS team and those advancing our economic and community development opportunities.

Check out this new, smooth walkway installed in the Northgate Mall area! The curb used to drop off next to Siskin PT, but the smooth walkway and new curb cut allows you to smoothly navigate on to Ulta Beauty’s sidewalk. Thank you, CBL Properties!

If you see any areas of sidewalk that need to be fixed, please report them in the 311 app.

Calling all outdoor and recreation organizations!

We know you’re looking for fresh faces to join your team, and we have the perfect opportunity for you to find them.

As the first National Park City in North America, it takes a massive community of professionals and volunteers to keep Chattanooga thriving, and we want to help you connect with that talent! Join us for our 2nd Annual Career and Volunteer Fair on Wednesday, March 11th from 4:00 PM – 7:00 PM at Coolidge Park.

We’re making this a one-stop-shop for candidates so they’re ready to hit the ground running for you. While you’re recruiting, we’ll have selling professional headshots and our City of Chattanooga HR Department on-site in our Career Basecamp offering resume reviews and mock interviews. This means the people walking up to your booth will be prepared and ready to work!

Wanna join us to recruit? We would love to have you! We are aiming to have at least 50 organizations represented this year, so don't wait to grab your spot.

Have a question? Email Austin Adderholt, our Volunteer and Community Engagement Coordinator at aadderholt@chattanooga.gov.

🚲✨ Big news... we’re launching our Kids Ride! Bike Loaner Program!

This new program allows children with physical disabilities to borrow adaptive bikes from Catalyst Sports to ride in their own communities, with regular check-ins as they grow and their needs change.

The program is made possible by a generous grant from the Arthur M. Blank Family Foundation and the support of our donors.

We’re excited to work alongside parents, therapists, teachers and principals to help get more children with physical disabilities on bikes! Because every child deserves the chance to ride. 💛
