We honestly haven’t had much family time this entire year Tony’s been in back to back trainings, I’m working outside the home and still doing my online stuff, and the kids always have something going on. So yesterday we took a little trip to Syracuse to celebrate Trinity. She wanted to spend her birthday money, and we finally got to stop at the antique store that’s FOUR stories high.

I’ve been on the hunt for an Indian glass chicken dish forever, so the second I saw it… I snatched her up real quick 😂 Now I want all the colors.

Today my stomach feels like absolute trash 🫠 and I am frieddd, but I will never take my family time for granted. Days like this fill my cup even when I’m running on fumes.

Where to even begin… 🥹

Today my first baby turned 16. The girl I prayed for, cried for, hoped for. The moment I found out I was pregnant, I knew in my bones she was a girl and the only name my heart ever wanted was Trinity. She was our sweet blessing after wondering why it was so hard to get pregnant in the first place. God knew what He was doing.

We’ve grown up together, her and I. And even though she’s a total daddy’s girl, she’s still my mini just a little tan, cooler version of me 🤣 Watching her grow from this tiny little girl who gave everyone her whole heart (and got bullied for being so soft and sweet)… into the strong, fierce, funny young woman she is now? It’s been one of the greatest honors of my life.

She knows her worth now. She stands up for herself and for others. She doesn’t back down. And she is no exaggeration the best big sister.

There’s so much more I could say, but most of it has already been said directly to her. And I know you’re reading this too, Miss T… so hear it again:

Your mama and daddy love you ALWAYS. No matter what.
You are our purpose.
You are our blessing.
You are magic. ✨

Happy 16th birthday, my love. 💕
We are so proud of you.

P.S. Thank you to everyone who wished her a happy birthday, her sweet friends who spoiled her at school, my coworkers for helping me sing to her, and our family for showering her with love today. She felt every bit of it.

What’s in your control vs. what’s not.

I had a conversation with a client yesterday that really hit home. She was frustrated doing everything “right,” but still feeling like it wasn’t enough. And I reminded her of something I remind myself of often:

There will always be things outside of your control.
✨ The scale
✨ Other people’s opinions
✨ How fast your body responds
✨ Unexpected life stuff
✨ The days your routine gets thrown off

But then there’s a whole list of what is in your control…

🌱 How you speak to yourself
🌱 How you show up when no one’s watching
🌱 The food you choose to fuel your body
🌱 Staying consistent even on the messy days
🌱 Getting back up after a hard moment
🌱 Giving yourself grace and not quitting

When we shifted her focus to that list… everything changed. Her energy. Her confidence. The way she looked at her progress. Because the truth is, the magic isn’t in perfection baby it’s in the small, daily choices you do have control over.

So if you’re feeling overwhelmed or stuck, take a deep breath and zoom out.
Ask yourself:

What can I control today?
What’s one thing I can choose that moves me forward?

Start there.
Small choices add up.
And you’re doing better than you think.

Went to my first ever town board meeting tonight.

Why, you ask? Because a friend who owns a local business needed support.
