Island Commons Resource Center Island Commons is a Level IV Residential Care Facility providing Residential Care, Respite Care & Adult Day Care, and In-Home assistance.

Our philosophy is to provide a nurturing, safe, supervised, individually tailored, family-focused home where elders can age gracefully in place. This “Age in Place” model is designed to keep residents within their community for as long as possible, with the least amount of disruption. As long as Island Commons can successfully meet their needs, residents can move in at an assisted-living level of care and stay through hospice level care.

We are saddened by the passing of Ronald (Al) (Allen) Malony. Al was an important part of our Island community and quickly became a respected member of our Island Commons family. He was a doer who took pride in caring for his work and his family. Our thoughts are with his wife, Jill, of nearly 60 years, along with his family and friends. He will be missed.

What an incredible start to the holiday season! This weekend was packed with festivities and community spirit.

A HUGE thank you to everyone who helped make it all possible!
We kicked things off on Friday with a lively Mini Whalers concert in the Living Room, setting the perfect festive tone.

Later that evening, we gathered for our Annual Holiday Party... and what a turnout! A special shoutout to everyone who donated items for our raffle, Jen Belesca and The Niblic for providing all the wine, as well as our board and staff for providing food. Your generosity truly makes these events memorable.

On Saturday, we attended Santas party at the hall, where we had the pleasure of visiting with the island kids AND Santa!
