IN LOVING MEMORY OF JERRY DOWEL BRYANT — 1940-2026: It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Jerry Dowel Bryant, who left this world on Feb. 5, 2026, at the age of 85. Born on July 1, 1940, in Seymour, Missouri, Jerry was a beloved husband, father, grandfather and friend who touched the lives of many during his remarkable journey.
Jerry was the proud son of James Alvin Bryant and Rena Bell Cardwell, who nurtured his love for family and community. He grew up in a close-knit family, the middle child of 10 children. Jerry graduated from Pe Ell High School in 1958 and married his wife, Faye, shortly after. They were married for 65 wonderful years and together built a beautiful family and created countless treasured memories.
Jerry dedicated much of his working life to timber cutting, a profession that reflected his love for the great outdoors. His passion for nature extended beyond work, as he enjoyed fishing and cooking and loved going on trips to Reno with friends.
Jerry's commitment to his community was evident through his service on the Pe Ell City Council for more than 25 years, where he worked tirelessly to improve the lives of those around him. He loved attending high school games, cheering on the local teams with enthusiasm. He was a man who truly loved his family and community, embodying the spirit of compassion and dedication.
Jerry was preceded in death by his parents, James and Rena; brothers, Bill, Jim, Doyle and Danny; and sister, Wilma. He is survived by his loving wife, Faye, as well as their three daughters: Tracy Bryant, Julie Crivea (Loren) and Shari Fuss (Jan); siblings, Lyle Bryant, Tom Bryant, David Bryant and Joyce Prior; grandchildren, Jonah Johnson, Melissa Johnson, Mehki Morlin, Taylor Trippe (Sam Chaffee), Jacie Crivea (Tyler) and Jillian Fuss; along with several great-grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held at 11 a.m. Feb. 13, 2026, at Sticklin-Brown Funeral Chapel in Centralia, Washington, with a reception to follow.
