Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) Training Exercise – April 29, 2026
Chelan, WA – Lake Chelan Health Emergency Medical Services, in partnership with Chelan Fire & Rescue and Manson Fire Department, will conduct a Mass Casualty Incident (MCI) training exercise on Wednesday, April 29, 2026, from 10:00 a.m. to 11:00 a.m.

The exercise will take place at Sargent Field and will simulate a large-scale emergency involving multiple patients.
Community members in the area may notice increased emergency response activity, including vehicles, personnel, and ambulance traffic to and from Lake Chelan Health Hospital. This is only a training exercise—there is no real emergency.
Students from Chelan High School MedClub and EMT students from Wenatchee Valley Technical Skills Center will participate as mock patients, helping responders practice coordinated on-scene care and hospital operations.

This exercise is part of ongoing efforts to ensure our local emergency teams are prepared to respond effectively in the event of a real mass casualty incident.
We appreciate the community’s understanding and cooperation during this important training.

Hands-on learning in action today! 🩺❤️🫁

Chelan School District MOE 5th graders visited the Hospital and Columbia Valley Community Health (CVCH) today as part of the Medical Pipeline Program alongside CVCH residents.

Lake Chelan Health EMS provided hands-on CPR training and gave students an up-close look at an LCH ambulances. Students also had an up close look at Chelan County Sheriffs Office police vehicles.

After learning about heart and lung function in the classroom, students expanded their knowledge by participating in heart and lung dissections with guidance from CVCH residents and support from Chelan High School MedClub students.

Thank you to everyone who helped create an engaging experience and inspire the next generation of healthcare professionals!

Earth Day weekend couldn’t have been any better! Kicked off by a parade for Chelan Fire 100th Centennial (Congratulations🎉) and a multitude of booths at Riverwalk Park. Lake Chelan Health EMS gave away just over 100 youth helmets! Kiddos stoped by and were fitted with a correct size helmet to wear while riding their bike, scooter or other toys on wheels 😁 Safety First! 🚲 🛵 🛹
