During the government shutdown, both programs face uncertainty, but they're not the same. WIC and SNAP work together to help families afford food, but they differ in how they're funded, the rules they follow, and when benefits are provided. Please call Jefferson County WIC if you have any questions regarding your WIC benefits. 541-475-4456

Jefferson County WIC provides nutrition education, breastfeeding support, healthy food, referrals, and other services at no charge to Oregon families who qualify. Our goals are to help keep pregnant and breastfeeding women and children under age five healthy. WIC supports those in need of formula, too.

WIC is for all types of families, married and single parents, working or not working. If you're a father, mother, grandparent, foster parent, or other legal guardian of a child under five, you can apply for WIC.

Please call our office today to see if you qualify for WIC. If you currently have OHP, that is an automatic qualifier for WIC. Call us 541-475-4456; takes only a minute to qualify.

📢 Youth Open Gym Update - CANCELED 10/24/25 & 10/31/25

Due to a gym scheduling conflict and the Halloween holiday, Open Gym @ Bridges High School will be canceled Friday, October 24, and Friday, October 31.
In the meantime, check out some of the great fall and Halloween events happening around town! There’s lots to enjoy with friends and family:
