The world is changing as long as you don’t keep listening to what the teli-lie-vision or snewz wants to tell you.

Keep being you. Do what your gut tells you because it does relate to your mind. Ever hear of good gut health….well if it’s healthy, so is your mind.

As many of you have read that I am working on projects while we are in the south.

My first project has to do with rescues. Some of you may have known that all the dogs we have owned have been rescues. We recently had the chance to rescue two pups from the campgrounds for a rescue as well. Those pups are now in foster care with a family in Arkansas and will most likely be adopted by them.

The rescue will be called Phoebe’s Place. There will be one in NY with the help of Stacey Martinez and one either in NC or TN where the Holistic Retreat Center (oh yes, it’s still on the radar).

The rescue center will be unique as we will not only take in pets, but we will give them an environment where they won’t be locked in cages, they will be trained, vetted etc. plus we will train adopters on the care of their pet. We will make sure they are both a good match.

It’s no doubt a huge project. If it wasn’t for the story about a little dog named Phoebe who was living in horrible conditions until she was adopted. Then she ran away at a campgrounds in Hadley, NY. With the effort of Stacey and a few others who spent a couple months in capturing her, Stacey was able to take her in as a foster. A week later, Phoebe escaped again, which then took a wonderful tribe of neighbors and others to capture her a month or so later. Phoebe touched alot of hearts if you followed her story. She sure touched mine and I have met her as well. She is a ball of sweetness. She just needed the reassurance that no one was going to hurt her, she was safe and she would be loved. Stacey along with her family have done an awesome job in getting her there.

What I’m doing while I wait for grants to be dispersed (seems like forever but I’m hearing we are close) is starting a website to sell pet items. Much of the proceeds will go towards getting the rescue off the ground. Of course we have to start with the 501C3.
