Group classes can be great!

I teach them so I am not encouraging you to stop taking them.

I am suggesting there might be a way to get more out of them.

1) Longevity: All modalities have their strengths. They also all fall short to some degree when it comes to being able to exercise, move freely, participate in extra curricular activities and to do daily life activities with ease.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯ A fusion approach fits modalities to you, NOT you into a modality. πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

2) Habitual Movement: We all have movement patterns we adopted because of injury, aches, postures from of modern day life, sports we played etc .... They creep in when we exercise. If you aren't aware of your specific habitual movement patterns they could be showing up in large group classes & you might never know after years & years of exercise.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯ Learning what yours are so you can self correct as well as incorporate corrective exercises, will help you get the most out of the classes you are taking.πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

3) Daily Life: Regardless of how many hours you exercise, it usually is not enough to combat the HOURS we spend in living life. Sitting, driving, device use, sleeping are done hours at a time & can be the biggest culprit of injury, aches & pains.

πŸ’₯πŸ’₯ Understanding what your hours of the day look like & mini breaks that could support you to combat their negative effects is key to a health & wellness program.πŸ’₯πŸ’₯

4) Control: Speed, load (weight), stretch, movement patterns done without control is a large contributor to aches, pains, injuries. Most classes aren't really able to consider this for the masses. Not because the instructor is doing anything wrong or doesn't consider them as often as possible. It just not possible to do it for every student during every exercise.
