Supporting Our Students Through Winter ๐
As winter break approaches, it's crucial we remember our most vulnerable students. Seasonal Affective Disorder (SAD) affects 10-20% of people with depression, and students are particularly at risk during darker winter months.
Quick Facts About SAD:
Symptoms include low energy, difficulty concentrating, and changes in sleep patterns
Reduced sunlight in winter can disrupt our body's internal clock and serotonin levels
Early intervention and support make a significant difference
Our Cherry Hill school anxiety program is here to help students navigate these challenges. We're committed to ensuring every student has the support they need, even during school breaks.
