Interactive Kids We provide ABA, education, & social skills consultation to families, schools and the community.

Interactive Kids is a community resource designed to provide the highest quality consultation and training services for individuals, their families, professionals, and other providers through a collaborative solution-driven relationship. We offer a wide array of behavioral, educational, and vocational-based services for individuals with disabilities such as autism, developmental disorders, non-verbal learning disorder, brain injury, ADD/ADHD, behavior disorders, and other neurological impairments. In addition, we treat those who may not be diagnosed but are experiencing socially challenging behaviors. Our consultants meet a child where he or she is struggling, at home, in school, or in the community. Through developing a partnership with the child, the parents, the school district, or other providers we have been able to achieve optimal long term results. Together we can be the change your child needs to reach their greatest potential!

Last week, our very own Megann Czekalski spoke with parents as part of the Brigantine Community School ECAC (Early Childhood Advisory Council) Meeting.

Interactive Kids is proud to be part of this group and to collaborate with families and educators in the Brigantine community. Opportunities like this allow us to share practical, supportive strategies that parents can use right away.

A few key tips Megann shared during her toilet training presentation:
• Toilet training is a learning process — not a test.
• Consistency matters more than perfection.
• Praise and reinforce immediately after success.
• Accidents are information — respond calmly and reset.
• Verbal language is NOT required for toilet training.
• Visual supports, timers, and First–Then boards can make a big difference.

When home and school work together, progress happens faster and with less stress for everyone.

IK’s School Team did the **Not-a-Mug Snow Day Challenge** ❄️

The challenge? Send a picture of yourself drinking from anything but a mug — snow day theme required — and include a witty, snow-themed operational definition.

What a great day at the Day of Impact at Congregation Beth El in honor of Jewish Disability Awareness & Inclusion Month! 💙

Chris had the opportunity to connect with many families and community members, sharing more about what we do at Interactive Kids and the programs we offer across South Jersey.

We’re excited to share that we currently have:

• Full-time and part-time staff openings across multiple programs
• Client openings in Early ABA
• Availability in our Adult Department
• Select openings in Social Skills

We’re excited to share that Interactive Kids will be attending the Children’s Health Resource Fair hosted by the Cumberland County Children’s Inter-Agency Coordinating Council (CIACC)!

This free virtual webinar series covers timely and important topics impacting individuals with developmental disabilities, families, and professionals across New Jersey.

When the kids are off… apparently we turn into chefs. 🥣🔥

Our school team decided that a non-school day needed a little friendly competition — so we had a Soup Showdown.

And let’s just say… the bar was HIGH.

Shout out to Amanda, Rachel, and Alicia for earning top honors and serious bragging rights for the year. 👏🍲✨

Because let’s be honest — you can’t write FBAs all day. Sometimes you need a little creativity, a little laughter, and a lot of taste-testing to keep the team energy strong.

Jackie McCue and Melissa de Groot presented to a room of 85 professionals — and watch out when Missy grabs the mic!

She taught on selecting the right assessments, identifying meaningful goals, creating strong programming, monitoring progress, and most importantly — living your passion in this field.

Eighty-five school employees learning. That’s not small.

We have a saying here at IK that the sky is the limit — and this is exactly what that looks like. If you like to present, you can present. If you want to share your expertise, we will support you. If you’re ready to grow, there is space for that here.

He had the best time building friendships at our Valentine’s Friendship Dance in Somers Point last week!

Moments like this are what it’s all about — connection, confidence, laughter, and creating opportunities for meaningful social experiences. We love seeing our friends step into these spaces and truly enjoy being part of something special.
