Interactive Kids We provide ABA, education, & social skills consultation to families, schools and the community.

Interactive Kids is a community resource designed to provide the highest quality consultation and training services for individuals, their families, professionals, and other providers through a collaborative solution-driven relationship. We offer a wide array of behavioral, educational, and vocational-based services for individuals with disabilities such as autism, developmental disorders, non-verbal learning disorder, brain injury, ADD/ADHD, behavior disorders, and other neurological impairments. In addition, we treat those who may not be diagnosed but are experiencing socially challenging behaviors. Our consultants meet a child where he or she is struggling, at home, in school, or in the community. Through developing a partnership with the child, the parents, the school district, or other providers we have been able to achieve optimal long term results. Together we can be the change your child needs to reach their greatest potential!

We recently had the opportunity to visit Shore Medical Center, where Michael Smith generously gave us a tour and shared the incredible work being done through their Sensory-Friendly Care Programs.

What truly stood out is Shore’s commitment to education, communication, and individualized support. Everyone in the Emergency Department is trained to recognize when an individual enters who may have special needs, allowing staff to immediately provide modified and supportive care.

We visited their sensory-friendly lab, designed for individuals who may need extra support during blood draws. Care is thoughtfully tailored — if SpongeBob is your child’s favorite character, SpongeBob will be there, whether through sheets, stuffies, pictures, or quilts 💛

We also toured the Pediatric Emergency Department, which includes an incredible sensory-friendly room with dim lighting and a large TV safely enclosed behind a non-breakable barrier.

Shore Medical Center doesn’t stop there — their team:
• Meets quarterly with an advisory group to continuously assess and improve sensory-friendly practices
• Provides EMS training to support individuals before they even arrive at the hospital
• Supports individuals of any age, with any diagnosis — or no diagnosis at all

Marlton’s A & A Department had such a great outing exploring a bit of local history right in our own backyard at the Historic Underground Railroad Museum of Burlington County.

Our clients truly enjoyed learning how much history exists in our area — some of it connected to Moorestown and Palmyra — and we honestly didn’t even realize how many interesting ties were so close to home. It made the experience even more meaningful knowing that for some, these places and stories could even connect back to their own families.

A big thank you to everyone who helped make this outing special, and a special shoutout to Ms. Debbie for supporting our clients and helping create such a fun, engaging, and memorable day.

We currently have openings in our Social Sidekick Social Skills program, designed for teens ages 14+ to build confidence, communication, and real-world social skills in a supportive group setting.

We had such a fun and meaningful visit at IK Marlton Adult Services with Rowan RISN medical students Olivia and Dylan! 💙
It was educational, engaging, and a great opportunity for real-life socialization—complete with belly laughs during our favorite Yes/No game 😄

Experiences like this are exactly what the Rowan Integrated Special Needs (RISN) Center is all about: interdisciplinary learning, community connection, and person-centered care. We loved hosting and sharing what we do with future professionals who ask great questions and truly care.
