Staff of Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point bid Fair Winds and Following Seas to, from left to right, HM2 Holly Bew, HM2 Cynthia Filpo Cepeda and HM2 Victoria Synoground earlier this week.

Each was awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Commendation Medal for their service aboard the clinic. Synoground was also awarded the Navy and Marine Corps Achievement Medal for her selection as the 2025 Sailor of the Year.

Happy Birthday Chief!

Sailors and civilians of Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point gathered Wednesday April 1 at Naval Health Clinic Cherry Point to celebrate the 133rd birthday of the U.S. Navy Chief Petty Officer.

During the celebration, Chiefs and fellow Sailors and civilians heard a reading of the Chief of Naval Operations Admiral Daryl Caudle’s “C-Note” before the cutting and serving of a ceremonial cake.

Corpsmen serving aboard Marine Corps Air Station Cherry Point partnered with Cherry Point Fire and Emergency Services to complete an Emergency Medical Technician-Basic course in March, 2026.

Sailors assigned to Navy Medicine Readiness and Training Command Cherry Point completed the multi-week course taught by Daniel Whitehead, assistant fire chief of operations of Cherry Point FEMS.
